Thanks for having me on, Tom. Hopefully I can get back on in a couple months and tell you we have the needed signatures to get it on the ballot.

I believe I can add gdlemail to the list of sponsors (correct me if I am wrong gdl), so that means we only need 19 more sponsors and I am still waiting to hear from a couple more locally and from THR.

Thanks all!!

Sorry been away for awhile. Looks like we need some more co-sponsors.

usp_fan, that's a great idea, though I refuse to step foot into Bob's Pawn anymore, for some reason the counter-guy has had a major problem with me since the first time I set foot in the shop and tries to start an argument with me every time I want to do a transfer. Last time he told me to go somewhere else. I guess my money is not good enough for them. Only reason I bothered with them is because they do $20 transfers.

I sure miss Marv's Hardware..

Guys, tell me what you need me to do.

OK guys, any other interest here? I am still trying to get the initial 25 people. So far the people I have talked to have said, "I would vote for that in a heartbeat, but I don't want to put my name on it."

Unfortunately it won't get a chance for people to vote on it unless we are willing to take a stand on it. Come on, folks, let's adopt the "no shrug" policy that Tom Gresham has been talking about on Guntalk.

I am not willing to give up on this yet.

Outerlimit has asked to have his name removed due to some personal problems, so we need 20 more folks at present.

Update

Just a quick update, we are still working on this. A few more folks have signed up after listening to a podcast of Guntalk (Thanks Tom!!)

We have been hearing a lot of replies from people that think this is a great idea they would vote for in a heartbeat, but don't want their name on the committee so publicly. In light of that, we may consider going straight to the legislators for the upcoming session.

Unfortunately, idiots keep shooting people in victim disarmament zones. Thankfully none have happened in good old North Dakota yet.

Bringing this thread back from the dead.

How many people in ND are willing to do some emails and letters in the next week or two to see if someone in the legislature will introduce this? I will put a sample letter on here shortly and will try to contact those who responded by PMs last winter. I would like to get this out to all Rs in the legislature and known progun Ds, preferable in letters or emails from folks in their own districts.

Thanks,

Nick

I told Arfin in another thread that I would not sit and moan about the new pres, but would start doing something. This is the start of that something.
