Pay it Forward in Reloading

I was given some Speer .38 cal. .357" (turns out they are .355"). They are 110 gr. JHC.

These date back to 1979 or before. They are not pulled bullets, just undersize.

Before I found that out, I was trying to load them in 38 Spl. Bullets would slip in with no resistance.

Anywho, there are 72 pieces (I see why the original owner gave up after 27, I destroyed one) in the box. I thought about loading them in 9mm. But I already have too much on my plate now.

Maybe somebody would like to try loading them for 9mm revolver? Or semi-auto?

Edit: On hold until I see what happens in bds "Thank You THR- Pay it Forward" thread.

Lets NOT turn this into a trading site. Here's how I treat this PIF idea. I have something I no longer use. I will send it to someone that can use it with no immediate expectation of a return from anybody, I will NOT even ask for that person to pay shipping. If I can't afford the shipping, I won't offer it. If the person offers to pay for shipping, that's okay too.

With that in mind, spring cleaning of the loading room has turned up some PIF items.

One is 57 pcs 45/70 .458 300 grain jacketed hollow point bullets that were bought in the blue Midway bulk packaging. I got them for my N.E.F. buffalo classic SS. I tried about half the box, then decided I'd only shoot my cast boolits in it for as long as I own it. The packaging does not identify the manuf., but I believe they're Hornady. It might have been the factory seconds deal Midway runs occasionally.

Anywho, first one to speak up gets 'em!
No problem snuffy, but try to understand. Like myself for example, I am on a fixed income trying to support 4 people, I can't afford to send large packages through the mail. We barely make our bills. I collect brass at a free range as part of my hobby. I want to help out anyone I can so I'll send small amounts through first class mail. But the larger ones I can't afford to ship, and you can't buy this brass online for just the shipping. So if we can't trade it here lets get the Admin's to create a brass trading subforum for us. Does that sound reasonable?

Sorry to snuffy and anyone else I may have offended on the PIF sub forum. I just found the Buy, Sell and Trade components sub forum. So, anyone looking to trade brass with me please check the BST sub forum, as I will list all I have there and trade there from now on. Didn't mean to offend anyone at all.
Well, I just tried to access the BST of components, and apparently I don't have enough of something, posts or whatever, to post on that sub forum. So until I do, anyone who would be interested in the brass I have please PM me and we can discuss it. I don't look to trade in order to gain from ANYONE on this or any other forum. I'm just trying to help someone else out with my excess. Being disabled I don't have the income to just give away much, no matter how much I would like to. Other forums I belong to actually have brass trading sub forums that don't require one to have a huge amount of time to post threads all day long, and I refuse to post useless, mindless threads and posts just to get my post count up.

No offense taken Bugster. I just wanted to bring the idea of PIF back to the front.

Now I had a chance to gather up the lead 420's, I have well over 100 boolits, so 2 people have spoken for all 100. One spoke up for 50 in a PM, I will let him remain a-nonny-mouse. I should be able to get 3 SFRB's packed up this evening, and sent tomorrow before I go see my bone bender.

I might be able to come close to another 50, if anybody missed out, let me know, I'll see what I can do. Oh, and you're all very welcome!:D

Coldfinger,
For 7.62x54r, check grafs for PPU cases. They are not too bad, price wise. I picked up a bag last year.
I'll dig up some boxer x39 I can spare and send your way, PM me your address.

KC, I have approximately 50 pcs 8x57 Berdan brass, various head stamps. PM me your address.

mstreddy, I received the brass today in the mail. They look good. I will put them to good use. Thank you!

kcofohio - I got the dies today. Thank you!!!

I'll get your brass out tomorrow.

Brian, I got the brass in the mail today! All I can say is, WOW! Thank you! It was more than I expected, for sure! I will put them to good use. Again, thank you!

9 mm dies

Since no one wants the old 9 mm dies, I'm going to pull them and repost on Thank you PIF. If anyone wants them, they will be there.

For anyone looking at the brass I had offered, we have had some financial trouble and had to sell my remaining brass. I am sorry.

9 mm dies

Coldfinger, did you want the 9 mm dies? I already posted them on Thank You PIF. So far, no one has put in for them. The draw is Saturday. Put in for them.

Looking to see if anyone has any 45 Colt brass to spare. I can trade 9mm, or perhaps a handful of 308. If you need something else I might be able to come up with something. I have some 30 Cal Hornady I might not use.

Thanks,

-jeff

.380 95gr FMJ

A while back I was describing the PIF threads here at THR to a friend at work. In fact, since he reloads for 10mm, I scored a set of cases for him through the "Thank You THR PIF" thread.

It turns out that he had a quantity of .380 components that he no longer has need for. Impressed by the PIF concept, he has graciously offered to contribute some of these to PIF for someone who can put them to good use. :D

On behalf of my friend, there is a bag of 72 pieces of 95gr FMJ round nose bullets for .380 ACP available to the forum.

PM me if you're interested. ;)
