Pay it Forward in Reloading

Got a half a tub of .45 mixed small primer and large primer, I think more of the large. Friend of mine is getting divorced and passing on a lot of his stuff. So passing it on to someone who might be in need. Going to the post office tomorrow.View attachment 1124862

Koni, 45A brass arrived today (2 days ahead of schedule). It all looks terrific, thank you!

I just bought a large pack of those disposable egg plugs! good for double your ear muffs
Several years ago I discovered something. If I'm shooting full power 357 Mag, I shoot better if I'm wearing plugs AND muffs.

Doesn't matter with 9mm, or even 44 Mag, but 357 Mag it certainly does.

Must be something about the sound wave; the CRACK of the 357 cartridge, as opposed to the BOOM of the 44 Mag.

The loud, sharp crack of .357 is the hardest on hearing and protecting your ears.

First pistols I ever shot, an older friend had a Blackhawk .357mag 5 1/2" and a Super Blackhawk .44mag 4 1/2".

I much preferred the .44 over .357.

Almost 50 years later, double plugs is standard procedure with full power loads of any caliber. .30 Carbine will get your attention. .357 is still a loud, sharp crack.
.41M is my favorite. .44M is the big boomer.
.45 Colt is (or can be) close to or exceed .44M. Haven't shot a .327 FM, but I would guess it similar to .30 Carbine.

A full power #9 load out of a 4" has nothing on a 8" sbr.

Powder is starting to come down. Primers should start following. I still have 2k in small pistol primers. Im not panicking yet lol. Small rifle i was down to 500. So i bit the bullet to stock back up this week. That darn mini 14 uses them up lol.
Depending on where you are buying the powder. One place here is asking 50 bucks a lb. Another 35.00 a lb..
