Pay it Forward in Reloading

Edster 12, I was at a gun show today and looked for 444 Marlin for you. I could only find loaded ammo. As you can notice that I am in South Carolina. The vendor is in the upstate. The company is Olympic Ammo. Their web site is olympicammo.com. Also, they have [email protected]. Hope this helps you.

In all of my distractions last week, I sent an outgoing package to a fellow THR member... to my office.
Yup, we all had "one of those days" ... reminds us we are human.

One time I mixed up the two PIF boxes and got surprised PMs from the recipients.:banghead:

Then another time, I confused multiple PIFs and thought I had sent out the box already and asked the recipient how the bullets performed. When the recipient PMed, "What bullets?" I realized another "Ooops".

Thankfully everybody was patient and understanding and all the PIFs were eventually done properly.

Thanks el indio. I managed to scrounge some brass for the 444. One of the guys in the trading post had 40 cases, plus some I found at a LGS puts me right at 50. That should be more than enough. I don't believe we will want to put many more thru the barrel at any one sitting.

PIF - .310 Rook

Anyone need 20 pieces of 2xf .310 Rook/Greener for a Martini Cadet? Just got my Franken-tini converted/sleeved for .327 Fed Mag

clearcut - I think I have some 22-250 cases I've scrounged from the range over time. there isn't many, perhaps 10 or so, but they're just sitting in my random brass bucket at the moment. I could package them up if you need them.

Unless .308 mag is a different animal than normal off the shelf .308 - Sure, I can always use them but I'm in no particular "need" for cases at the moment,

I'll let them be if someone else really needs them. if no one want's to claim them then sure - never hurts to have a few extra cases.

USPS always takes the long way around. I have ordered things that left St Louis MO, went 250 miles west to KC MO. From there went to Memphis TN then to Birmingham AL. It left there and went to Atlanta GA before coming back to Nashville TN where it sat for three days before it went to Columbia Tennessee then here to the house. By the time they went from St Louis to KC MO they could have been just about been in Nashville. And they wonder why they are in losing money.
Live in town of ~4,000. Few years ago they stopped sorting local mail and thus it went to sorting facility 20 miles away. I understood that. This year they closed that sorting facility and now all our "local" mail goes to a facility 90 miles away and then back. So if I were to send a letter to a neighbor (mail boxes separated by 20 ft) that letter does a minimum of 180 mile trip over next 2-3 days. Guess it cheaper to pay the gas and a truck driver than the local sorters.
