"Quick draw" to 20yrd shot is still just a 20yrd shot, you are just adding a draw.
The steps/fundamentals of shooting are the same.
.
The eye can instinctively place the shot on target with practice. Focus on a specific pin point on your target with your gun in your peripheral vision. Check out the book Priniples of Quick Kill. It’s written for a B.B. gun but it also applies to handguns.
How big is you "bullseye"?Goal is perfection of course but excellence is always a good start for anything..
Goal is bullseye bro.
1rst shot >Bullseye
How big is you "bullseye"?
You mentioned "quick draw" but what constitutes "Quick"?
Goals should be SMART:
Specific
Measurable
Assignable
Realistic
Timely
That's not a goal. That's a bunch of variables that this thread isn't about. It's basically a defensive situation drill to make it simple.
Now to make it smart what has to be taken in concideration..
Is
The time to reach n present the weapon from a cc position,
Focusing on the target possibly putting some innocents targets around to avoid
Working on that less than 0.90 second with a clear shot in the dark.
To be able to do it that fast 5 times in a row would be a good stepup.
I manage ten yards like that.
Also a moving Target would be more realistic
That's not a goal. That's a bunch of variables that this thread isn't about.
Here's an example:
Draw and place a round on target at 20yrds in less than 2 seconds.
It doesn't have to be complicated, but in order to get better, you need some kind of start point then a defined end point or goal.
Try practicing with smaller targets.Anybody got advices to improve aim at 20 yards on a quick draw
Anybody got advices to improve aim at 20 yards on a quick draw
Single shot ?
Just told U what's my end goal
