I was checking out the local pawn shops and found a cool old fixed sighted tapered barrel GP-100. I have been looking for a good fix sighted revolver to take on my ATV rides through the desert. I wanted something fairly indestructible and was going to settle for a Model 10 S&W until I found this one. It has the SP101 grips and makes a very trim package. I am thinking about carrying it in a Bianchi 14870 UM84 flap holster when riding. I will get a Simply Rugged holster for hiking and hunting. I got a great deal on it because the pawn shop said the barrel was shot out when it was really just leaded up. After some good cleaning, it came out great. To make the deal even better, it came with the original box and sleeve.
I can't wait to make up some load to match the sights and I will be good to go. Here are some pictures.

I haven't even shot it yet and it is already becoming one of my favorites...I just love the size, feel, and look of the short shroud...
