found a 3" 547 at a LGS gun is in real good shape just a hint of blue wear at muzzle has the target grips with a couple of small dents and a box that is in rough shape can't see that adding any value and a extra set of Bianchi lighting grips. They are asking 1K I offered $800.00 and at the moment they have turned down the offer. I know these are rare but $1000.00 to carry a 9mm revolver seems pricey. What are your thoughts on these guns are they worth that kind of money to you? Would you buy it for $800.00

Considering I paid $700 for a 19-3 nickle snub, before tax, I can't say $800 is out of line for this one.

As an investment I would consider it, as a carry gun I would not. I'm pretty much over my rimless revolver fetish though, until the next one comes by.

They are collectors items. I see no advantage of it as a carry piece. Personally I would not pay 8 bills unless I needed it to complete my collection.

$800 is a bit much for me seeing as how I bought my 547s some years back. For a collector though, $800 may be reasonable. Mention was made of target grips; some 3" 547s shipped with banana grips which are large and some were shipped with regular RB grips.

I agree $800 does seem a bit pricey.

My understanding is most of the 3" M547s came with the K frame round butt target grips or magnas. The K frame RB targets are not seen near as much as other K grips and can be pricey when found.
The 4" guns came with PC magnas.
Here is mine with the RB targets and PC magnas.

I thought they were targets but everyone was calling them "banana's" but i guess it don't matter it has been sold they got close to there asking price according to a store employee.

Man did you ever snooze and loose on that one. One sold 2 weeks ago on G-brok for $3200 :what::what::what::what: Yes. $3200.

I believe it was $3525 but that was probably a case of 2 deep pocket guys in a bidding war. I would not expect too many to sale for that price. But if you know someone that wants one that bad send them my way.

Nope, it was Gunbroker while Drunk!! Seriously, any 547 at $1,000 or less is a good deal now!!
