What scope are you folks using on your AR 10's? I am thinking about a 10 or 12 power with a 308 dial.
I am currently running this cantilever mount, and I'm having trouble holding POI. Some forums have told me to avoid this kind of mount, I may switch to regular rings to see if that fixes the problem.
0 issues with mine on the AR10 or my AR15. Both required minimal lapping and lined up perfect with the Wheeler alignment bars.I am currently running this cantilever mount, and I'm having trouble holding POI. Looks like the Monstrum mount I got on Amazon for my daughter's gun. It loosened up after only a couple hundred rounds and the bolts stripped out when I tried to tighten it. Junk, IMO.I am currently running this cantilever mount, and I'm having trouble holding POI. Replaced it with another Burris PEPR cantilever, no more problems. Love that mount.
The Monstrum is probably a cheap knockoff of the Vortex. Nice design, poor materials. This one’s a Vortex mount.
Unless you're running flip up BUIS.Nice thing about AR-10s is that there's frequently enough upper receiver rail space to not require cantilevered scope rings.
I've actually had pretty good luck with the Monstrum mounts, I have seen a lot of reviews about stripped threads though. I switched most of the Monstrum mounts out for Aero mounts now and only have a couple Monstrums left and don't move them around. The Monstrum is probably a cheap knockoff of the Vortex.
