I had the P238 and loved it. My only complaint is over time it stopped liking steel cased ammo. It didn't have a problem at first but over time would light strike them and they would not fire.

I assumed it was a damaged firing pin or stretched springs since they reccomend a very regular schedule of spring replacement. I replaced them all and still about 50/50 with the steel cased. Unfortunately it is my ONLY .380 and I have tons of steel ammo.

I eventually upgraded to a 9mm and although I really loved my P238 I did not go with the P938 because I HATE external safeties. I understand the need for one, especially in this gun given the light trigger but opted for a Kahr CM9 instead.

The P238 and P938 are both very manageable considering their size, reliable and EASY to shoot. I would definitely reccommend them. Their CS was excellent to. I needed it for a very minor problem.

I have a PM9 and my wife has a CM9. Both get carried a lot. Both have been
flawless after the 200 round break in period. The PM9 never had a problem. The
CM9 would occasionally, on the last round of a mag, not set the trigger to fire
that last round. Took a few mags to trace it to the mags with the extension on
them. Take the same mag, put the flush fit plate on it and it'd work just fine.
Not sure what the mechanics involved are but it's never hi-cupped with a flush
fit mag so it has to be the pressure on the extension somehow.
Anyway, you didn't go wrong with the CM9.

In looking at my note, added an extra y. The Brand is actually Murphs. You are right, it is a good quality. I seem to buy holsters like women buy shoes, and this is the best one I have as far as comfort and how it rides on my hip.

I have 2 P938's, a Scorpion and an Extreme. I carry one or both most of the time. Accurate, reliable and shoot like a bigger pistol. When I pocket carry I use a Remora. IWB is a stayholstered.com and OWB is a Winthrop pancake. When I choose to carry both I have a Winthrop for each side.:)
