So I've got a few carry-able pistols. All have quality rollmarks; I can shoot all about equally out to 10 yards, all fit comfortably INWB, and I'm overwhelmed by choice. (Don't want to get into a big discussion about 9 vs 40 vs 45, but I'd like caliber to be part of anyone's rationale as to which one to pack. And yes, I can rotate through the list, but would like to hear folk's #1 and #2 choices.

Here's the list:
S&W CS9, 6906, 3014, Shield 9mm EZ, 3953, 380EZ, 4513TSW, CS45, SW99 .40cal compact.
Beretta PX4.
Walther P4, P5
Sig P6 9mm, P320subcompact .40 and 9mm, P320 compact in 9, P250 compact in 9 or 40.
Magnum Research MR9 Eagle (SW99) 9 with 4" barrel.

Another vote for the P250. Once I moved to appendix carry, I went with a DAO gun that I could put my thumb behind the hammer when I re-holstered.

I've been a Glock guy for a very long time. Can't say that I ever truly liked them, but they just worked better for me than anything else I've tried. But lately the Sig 320 series has won me over. For most carry situations where concealment is more important, I'd choose the smaller 365 though.

I am thinking that “3014” was supposed to have been “3914.” I am a fan of this series of Third-Generation autos, that started with the Models 3913 and 3914. I owned a 3913 and a 3953, back in the Nineties, and wish that I still had them. In 2018 or 2019, I started re-buying some of this series, including a 3914. So, my personal #1 and #2, of the ones on the OP’s list, would be 3953 and 3914, with the 3953 being first, due to the steel parts being stainless steel, a good thing, in my local environment.

So, this was not a mere thought exercise, for me. I could, realistically, use and carry a Model 3914 or 3953. (I have not yet started vetting, with live ammo, the 3913 and 3914 pistols that I have recently bought.)

Once upon a time, probably the Eighties, I really wanted to buy a Walther P5, but I have never handled one. By the time I finally saw one, in person, for sale, they were priced at the wealthy collectors’ level, and, I am not wealthy.

Some really good options on that list. I’d pay through the nose for a good condition CS9. I can’t believe my dumb-self sold mine years ago. It’s like the gun that the other companies have been trying to reproduce as new and innovative.

Amen! I chose the CS9’s slightly larger cousins, because the smallest Nines’ recoil is becoming a bit rough on my aging hands.

PX4 by far from that list. I like pretty much all those pistols but the PX4 would be the easy choice. 40s&w or 9mm.
