If I had a gun that "bit me", I wouldn't have it for long. Only gun I can remember biting me is my turdish Walther PPK. It had nothing going in the positive for it, so I sold it off. Unreliable, the biting, and not particularly accurate.
Seems like a good place to mention the Shadow Systems MR918. This is basically a Gen 4 Glock 19 but with a permanent beavertail as part of the frame.
The gun also has a back strap system so the user can slightly change the way the gun points. The back straps are more like 1911 mainspring housings. They slide onto the frame and are held in place by a roll pin.
This doesn't help anyone who's beholden to Glock either by personal choice or policy. But hopefully those who experience slide bite but still want to use a "Glock" for whatever reason will take a look at the MR918.
