I know there is a shortage of everything but I can't even find a maker for said bullet. Is it an old style that has fallen out of favor? Anyone know a maker of that bullet today?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!
Most of what I find for the 41 are 215gr LSWCs, I'm fine with lead but would like something heavier or that I can push harder to get more out of the .41
I came across my lee 240gn mold when I was looking to try loading some heavier weight projectiles and I was about to order some of the cast performance 250gn gc but Im cheap and already have the casting equipment so the new mold was a no brainer. It being an old discontinued mold it was hard to find load data for it as it has much more of the bullet inside of the case than many of the heavier designs you see today and because of that I was hesitant to use data available for those bullets but , thanks to the power of the internet, I found a pdf version of a copy of American Handgunner from 1978 that had some load data for that exact bullet. These days I’m running them on top of up to 19.5gn of H110.Thanks! Found that LeadHead does 245gr with a gas check. I usually don't do gas check bullets but may have to in this case. Most of what I find for the 41 are 215gr LSWCs, I'm fine with lead but would like something heavier or that I can push harder to get more out of the .41, otherwise I'm almost just as well off with my .357 loaded hot.
