Hey guys, first time poster here. I've recently picked up a nice pre-serial number Stevens Model 94 in 20 gauge and have been having issues with the gun not going bang every time I pull the trigger. It works properly maybe 2/3 of the time. I have been able to fire every misfired shell if I continue trying. I recently compared my firing pin to a buddy's Model 94 firing pin and there's zero perceivable difference in length. I also completely stripped and cleaned the already clean gun thoroughly to ensure that there was nothing gunking up the internals. I'm thinking that the hammer spring may just be weak but I wanted to ask the experts before I go through looking for and buying one.
Thanks ya'll
