I will buy that immediately (in khaki). Seriously.

Additional thoughts:

How does the shoulder strap attach?
Can you offer a 2-gun version?

Helmie, looks good. I too would like more info on the shoulder strap, as that is typically the weak point on a lot of rifle cases I've examined.

I ordered one of your range bags yesterday, keep up the good work. :)

Looking great.

Now for pricing - and - how do I become a field rep/distributor/have-fun-at-the-range-and-after-the-ooohs-and-ahhhhs-take-orders kind of guy?

Hey Justin, good hearing form you :)

Justin, Techbrute,

Here's what the strap looks like; it comprises of ballistic nylon, heavy duty webbing and steel hardware. You can see the size of the steel snaps in the pix. These snap onto (currently), 2 sets of d-ring locations; one inside the webbing handle (on opposite sides) and the next set is about halfway between the handle and the edge of the case.

We're figuring out how best to have another mounted on opposite ends of the case. We tried putting a set on the ends but the carry just didn't feel right.

Here's a close-up shot of the rifle strap.

Ironbarr, I'm still working on the numbers :(

Looks great! If you can keep the price somewhere between the Tac-Force cases and the Eagle discreet cases, it would be perfect. Are you planning on offering them in longer length sizes as well? I have a new SPR that would look great in an OD green case. Maybe a 42" or 46" ?

Looks great, I am definitly interested in one. I really like the idea of a discrete bag that will hold my ar and accessories securely. Keep up the awesome designs, ive loved everything thats come out from your company so far!

Wow, love that case. I've been looking for a new one lately to house my new KT .223, as the sleeve I usually use won't fit it with a red dot mounted, and socks are too "form fitting". I have a hard case, but it's so freaking LONG. If this case is a reasonable price, plus comes in different lengths, I would definitly get one!

One question, what overall lengths will it be available in? I'm not an AR guy, so measurements by AR barrel lengths don't get me there.

Guys,

As for length, I'm currently looking at 30", 36", 42" & 46". I need to be able to accommodate a variety including the .308s.

Still working on the pricing :( This calculation part of product development can drive you up the wall, I tell you. I prefer the sampling part and not worry about how much it's gonna cost. Part of the biz, can't help it.

Stay tuned for final pricing and tentative release date guys.

My thanks to everyone for chipping in. Very much appreciated :)

Unfortunately, my DSA is 36.5" OAL, and I've been looking for a good case to fit it under 40". Same problem everywhere, it's an odd length.

This is why I bought one of his pistol bags. The guy asks good questions and actually incorporates our suggestions! I think I'll be buying more I-Shot products!

Hi Helmie, hope you are well.

I would love to see a DOUBLE long gun case.
It would be perfect for 3-gun and also, when does anyone ever take 1 gun to the range. Basically 2 of these sewn together would be perfect. Should hold at least 10 AR Mags and have a seperate place for spotting scope/binos or other various and sundry stuff.

Waiting for one in Khaki. Looks great. I think a 2 gun version would be great. Make a 3 gunner's bag where you could mount the AR high in one panel of the bag and then zip open the other side to have the shotgun stowed low on the other side. Have adaptable accesory pockets for each. That way you could load up for a 3 gun or a class with your range bag plus one long bag.

That's a nice looking bag: non-descript, with options for magazines and accessories.

My fear with the accessory option is that it's going to be too expensive to outfit properly. A series of velcro strips sewn in with optional straps that can be placed as needed would be inexpensive and easily customizable by the bags owner. How about half & half?

You're correct about this being of interest for AR-10 owners. I'd be thrilled if I could get my FAL and AR-10 in the bag.

Just came across this thread. I've already got 2 of the pro shooter tournament bag, and would buy probably 2 of these rifle cases if they were priced right.

I've got two of the Tactical Tailor 32" CAR cases and I like them, but wish I could (a) fit 2 rifles in each and (b) they had the PALS webbing to carry mags & such.

Looks like a great design.

The biggest problem I had finding a case for my AR-10 is the height including the scope. It's 13-1/2" from top to bottom and I don't have a particularly large scope. So and 14" high internal dimention is minimal for my purpose.

Hey guys,

My apologies for the delayed update. It's been real busy around here lately.

Anyway, I've been getting numerous emails from fellow forum members inquiring about the status of the rifle case. Unfortunately, we're still working on the cost of production for the case and the fabric selection. All the PALS webbing on the case has brought the price to a pretty significant level that I am not happy with. I was hoping to retail the case at a specific price point and the way we have it sampled right now, it will end up retailing around $150. This I feel is a tad high so we're back on the board with it.

At the moment, I intend to offer 2 versions, one with and one without the PALS webbing in 36", 42" and 46". That said, I am hoping for a tentative ship date of end July.

The last thing I was waiting for was a thumbs up or down from Rob Haught. Some of you may know who Rob is and I turn to Rob for advise on occassions like this. I respect his judgment on products and I ask Rob for an assessment of the sample. Suffice to say, it's a go :)

I understand that what this case offers is kinda unique in its way and as such, I hope you understand the final retail price. This is one product that I spared no expense to produce.

Many thanks.

Helmie
