The coolest FICTIONAL guns ...

One of my favorites is the "Double Reversal Gun" used by Matt Helm in the movie "The Silencers."

Pull the trigger back and the gun shoots rearward killing the user. Push the trigger forward and it shoots out of the front of the barrel like a regular gun. One of bad guys in the movie shot himself not once but twice with it.

Matt Helm was way cooler than James Bond.

Interesting gun ..... but what could be it's purpose?

Anyway, Matt Helm was pretty cool .....

Cool enough not go get shot with that gun!

The auto-draw pistols from Harry Harrison's Deathworld trilogy.
There is a cuff around the gunner's forearm with sensors that detect the positions of the tendons beneath them. When the tendons line up to indicate that the hand is in the proper position to receive the pistol, tensioned cables connecting the pistol to the cuff slap the pistol into your hand.
Opening your hand snaps the pistol back into the ready position.
Thanks for this. I remember reading the series in high school and thought the guns were great. Couldn't remember the author or title.

Title is "coolest fictional guns", so although it's not a firearm, it may still be a neuralizer gun. Like a paint gun, tranquilizer gun, etc.

Not that I'm grasping at straws or anything. lol

"Smith-Hitachi Godzilla Blaster", from the Adventures of Ruby- A Galactic Gumshoe (a good one).

I don't know what it looked like or recall what it did that was fancy, but the name is cool.

First episode

Predator shoulder gun for the win, leaves your hands free to use all the other cool and deadly alien weapons. Followed by the handheld mini gun, which as far as I know is only used in films at least in real calibers excluding BB and .22 lol.

Between the 40lb M134 and the weight of its battery and ammo, I doubt even Jesse Ventura could have actually wielded such a weapon, especially after a long hump through the jungle!
