Yup, just snagged it. The gun alone goes for $319 before tax and background at my local Academy Sports and online it averages about $250-$260. But after shipping, transfer fee, tax, and background check fee. You're looking at $310-$320 give or take once it is all said and done. Plus, the cross draw holster is another $65-$70.

So, I got the S&W SD9VE for $190 otd, followed by the Colt Official Police for $500 otd, and now this Bond Arms for $200 otd.

I already have one of these in .357 Magnum, so having one in .45 Colt is fun too. Especially since I have a pile of .45 Colt revolvers!

I usually see good deals in the used rack on the Bond derringers at my local shop when he has them. They seem to run in lots when he gets them. You see them for sale in the new rack for the usual "NIB" prices, and then a week or two later, you see what looks "exactly" like one of those guns that was sold, in the used rack, along with a box of ammo, with a couple of rounds out of it, and for a pretty good discount. :)

I should be a prophet!

As I said, I have one in .357 Magnum and it is controllable. Been curious for a .45 Colt one simply because I like .45 Colt. The fact that this gun was dirt cheap and comes with a $65 holster, means that I basically paid $120 for the whole gun.

That's cheaper than me simply ordering .45 Colt barrels.

I sure ain't going to shoot Corbon 300gr +p+ Ruger only loads out of the thing.

Regular .45 Colt is enough for me. Heck, I'll probably keep the thing loaded with #8 .410 and have it accessible when I'm cutting the grass since I always scare up a snake or two.

I like mine. Only draw back is the horrendous trigger pull
Yeah, it isn't a match grade trigger. I purchased my first one just because I wanted a derringer and Bond Arms is pretty much the only one that is at a price point I'm willing to pay, but not being a pile of junk made from pot metal.

It is a gun made for poker table and phone booth distances. And it sucks at that since a J-Frame is the same size, but gives you a better double action trigger and more ammo.

But I purchased the first one in .357 Magnum simply because I wanted it. It is a fun range toy. The .45 Colt will be too. Along with a load of #8 when I'm cutting the grass since I always scare up a snake or two.

a b.a. derringer is the perfect gun to buy used. built like a brick outhouse. single action, two round capacity means fondled alot yet shot little.

b.a. derringers make fine same caliber backup guns to one’s primary carry. miami_jbt, suggest you add a 9mm barrel as your next birthday self-gift to match your s&w pistol. bucksnort outfitters (no affiliation to me) has the best selection of b.a. barrels at decent prices, i.m.e. note, my now departed rough model had trouble accepting other barrels, it’s gone and i only have original gen2 models that are fully polished and fitted.

I have plenty of other guns. The derringers are just range toys for me. Getting a 9mm derringer is not happening. If I want a backup 9mm to my other 9mm handhuns. I'll carry my GLOCK 26, Ruger LC9S, GLOCK 43, S&W Model 3913, S&W Model 6906, Springfield EMP 9mm, or Hi-Power Detective.

Anyways, here's the little .45 Colt scamp.
