Does the narrow rim on the 45LC or 454 ever cause problems in the reloading room with being fragile? It looks so weak compared to a 44 mag rim.

how far can you hit a dinner plate with the 5" barrel?....with confidence. In other words, with enough practice, what would you consider the effective deer hunting range for the 5" barrel?

Also, is the hogue grip on the Toklat the same dimensions as the GP 100 grip that looks identical?
I believe all Super Redhawk designs, including the Toklat, and all GP100 models, including the Super GP100, use the same grip stud design.

Yea I'm wondering if there is any variation from the A's factory supplied med frame hogue to large frame hogue. I like the medium frame hogue a lot. To, me it would be an added cost to get the smaller grip if they were different.

The barrel length has no bearing on accuracy potential, however the shorter sight radius may. I shot a moose once with a 5-inch barreled SRH in .500 Linebaugh at 100 yards the first shot, 125 for the follow-ups, but I used a red dot.

The Toklat should have the Tamer grip on it. Which is fatter than the standard monogrip with some extra padding in the palm area. It is not my favorite but infinitely better than the standard monogrip. Which for me, sucks big time.
