Here's a different idea...change the visuals along with the text.
Change text to something like as was mentioned in a previous post, "Technology Changes...Constitutional Rights Don't".
Visually, make each panel a split screen. The first showing the couple in 1770s garb and kit on one side splitscreened with an old Gutenberg-style printing press. For the second modern day visual splitscreen the couple with ARs with a pic of hands on a computer keyboard and computer monitor with some kind of internet graphic on the monitor.
