No, it doesn't. Look at the quality of the machining and the beautiful rust blue on the 1901 and compare it to the type 94, which has the classic beauty of a last ditch Arisaka. Interestingly enough, we have a type 94 at the museum and it is much better looking than the one pictured.The T94 is close, but I think the FEG M1901 tops it......
