FYI. You all may know this, but it was news to me just today.
I bought some shotgun shells this morning while on a trip home from an out-of-town job. I got home and realized I grabbed the wrong boxes. No problem, I took the 3 boxes of 20ga shells back to one of our local Wal-Marts.
I got in line and once at the counter, the lady rudely pointed to a sign on the wall and told me all ammo sales are final and they will not take ammo returns. So, I asked her if I could just trade them for the right shells. I was polite, BTW. She then got very short with me, once again pointing to the sign and restated that ammo sales are final. I was very polite and told her that she was very correct. That will be the final sale of any kind that Wal-Mart will ever make to me. I've shopped there for a very long time and have spent a whole lot of money there.
1st, I thought it was a stupid policy, though I'm sure they have a reason for it. 2nd, I gave no reason to the women to be rude.
I am however, a man of my word. I'll not be going back to Wal-Mart. I'm not in a position where I have to pinch pennies. I'll pay more and go elsewhere. I will miss the convenience, but again, I am a man of my word.
