What age to start a young shooter?

It really depends upon the individual. I started our son at age six with a .22 single shot. By the time he was nine he had fired just about everything I have. He always begged to shoot my Smith 29: I declined! Lost my place to shoot when he was ten and later he wasn’t all that interested. By the time he regained interest things had changed to a point that I wasn’t comfortable having him handle weapons. It amazes me how kids can be far more responsible and mature at age ten than they are at age fifteen!

Depends on the kid, but I was 4

I was 4, and loved every second of it! I think it definitely matters on the kid as an individual, but I think many kids would rise to the occasion.
