I used to use paracord but bullet fragments did a number so I upgraded to a small chain and 2 carabiners. It's a game changer. Plus, the steel rings a lot louder when suspended by chains which is cool.
To tell the truth. For a new gun, the action is very smooth.Nice, according to my math, you have at least 990 rounds left to break your new pistol in............
And. according to your target, you must like the new purchase!
I'm gonna show up and shoot cowboy with you someday! The Southern Missouri Rangers held their monthly “Old Coot’s Shoot” today; a midweek shoot that anyone can attend, but mostly retirees since Wednesday is a work day for younger coots. Seven old coots and one charming cootess (lady coot? Hen?) played cowboy for a couple of hours this morning. Cloudy and cool but thankfully dry.
I shot a pair of Ruger Old Vaqueros, and a Uberti 1873, all in .357 Mag, and a Browning BSS 12 gauge with blackpowder loads in all guns. I had one miss in five stages, so was not clean for the day, but times were fairly good. Really a nice way to get from one weekend to the next!
Guns were cleaned this afternoon, so I’m kicking back.
View attachment 838030 I try to attend at least one 600 yard event per month. Sunday I shot a two target score of 189 with an average group size of 3.5, wasn’t my best but enough for the win.
ThxGreat shooting!
