A tactical drop leg pajama holster holds my Glock 21 w/ light + 3 mags X 13 rounds Gold Dot 200grain+P;)

And a Mossberg 590 w/ 9 rounds of 00 buck is close at hand.

at the bedsides...

My side, Kimber Custom II with trijcon sights, Maglight and 24" of solid hickory pick handle. Wife's side has a KelTec P32 and a Maglight.

I sleep light too...any noise that does not belong wakes me RIGHT NOW :what: into a state of wakefull alertness.

(Black Powder revolvers shouldn't be left loaded for too long if you expect them to fire reliably, so I had to go with one-a-dem newfangled brass cartridge loading guns.)

My Side: Ruger P97 45ACP, Wifes side: S&W 522, Head of the bed: 4 cell mag-lite, and at the foot of the bed, Thumper, our 21 lb. tomcat. We sleep very well indeed.

Hard chromed Heckler & Koch P7 holding Cor Bon .125 JHP. It's by my side during daylight as well.

Derringer M1 with custom grip. Laugh all you want.

But just in case, I keep a Smith and Wesson model 66 revolver in .357 magnum locked up under my bed.

On the nightstand or under it?

Under the nightstand is a Mossy 500 with 18.5 inch barrel. When things go bump in the night, that is option number one.

The companion handgun is whatever gun was used as a carry piece that day.

S&W Model 19, 4 inch barrel, loaded with JHP 357 Mag. Someone should go through this thread and put a chart together, comparing pistols to revolvers, and how many of each type caliber is listed. I used to keep a Kimber Ultra Carry 45 acp, but after a few FTE's at the range, not often, but often enough, I decided to go back to the absolute reliability of my S&W revolver.

Glock 17 with a couple of full-cap magazines. Also a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 with a 33 round magazine. Loaded with Winchester 115 Silvertip HP's. Surefire 6P.
