Hi Power loaded with Winchester whitebox hollowpoints.

Yeah, I know, they're not Gold Dots or Hydrashocks, but do you honestly think some B&E loser is going to be determined enough to care?

Of course, if they make it past my German Shepherd, maybe they are determined and deserve the very best.

Note to self: Pick up a box of Hydrashocks next trip to Millers.

Actually, they test very well for penetration and expansion, better in fact than some ammo that costs nearly twice as much.

I just bought a couple of boxes for my Highpower and my new Glock 19.

HK USP .40 with night sights and attached laser/light. Loaded with the old .40 black tallon ammo. (purchased a case of 9mm,.40,.45,.357 and .44mag before they were discontinued)

My S&W 625 with a moonclip of .45 Federal HST 230 grain hollowpoints resides on my bookshelf beside my bed. Interestingly enough, right in front of Plato's Republic.

My side a Taurus PT111 Mil. Pro 9mm loaded 13 rds CorBon DPX's
Wifes side a Bersa Thunder 380 loaded with 8 rds CorBon PB+
and two mag lights
two cell phones

On the nightstand: A stainless steel Rossi .357 snubby loaded with Silvertip .38 Special, 110 gr. HPs. No racking of a slide, fumbling with a safety, possibility of a jam or failure to feed. Just point and squeeze with less chance of shooting through several walls and hitting my neighbors, unless they're in my place in the middle of the night uninvited.

In the drawer: My usual CCW, a P-64, fully loaded mag + one in tube.

In the other drawer: My occasional CCW, an East German Makarov, eight in the mag + 1.

This might sound crazy

Lets see. ukranian AK-47 (fully auto...yes I have class 3 permit...and I even pay the luxery tax) in coat closet next to front door. 9mm baretta fs in kitchen. .40 cal sig p229 under glass top of coffee table in living room. Mossberg 500 12 guage in bedroom closet. 9mm sig p229(yes I own 2, and love them) in nightstand. s&w m&p .40 cal in desk drawer. .357 magnum taurus cia snubnose in bathroom. And My daily c/c is a baretta px4 storm .40cal. The rest of my guns are all locked in a safe bolted to the floor.

With 2 younguns running around I don't keep one in the nightstand but I do keep one on top of the gun safe in the room without one in the chamber. I figure my dogs will give me plenty of time to get up and grab one if needed.

My M-37 with a full mag of slugs.

About the same distance from me is my PA-63 with a full mag of WWB Metric FMJ's.

At my GF's house...my Beretta with a full mag of Federal Hydrashoks and her 38 spec with Federal Hydrashoks. :)

NONE! I have curious little kids.

Howeverrrrrrrrrrrr... Under my nightstand in a Gunvault safe, I have my Colt Government model .45 and my HK USP .40

Now, this sounds crazy

Usually, whatever I carried that day is on the dresser- typically S+W Airweight .38, Kel-Tec .380 or Kimber Ultra CDP II .45, along with one or two carry knives

On nightstand is S+W 686, 2 1/2" w/ Magsafe rounds, 2 speedloaders

at the head of the bed is a really neat aluminum t-ball bat, and at the foot of the bed is a custom Angus Trim Flemish Cut and Thrust sword. :what:

If I am sleeping in there, so are 2 young Labrador retrievers and a couple of cats.

Mean cats.
