Only revolvers, huh?
Well, having grown up learning to shoot single action revolvers and transitioning to DA revolvers later ... and then later still carrying issued revolvers when I entered LE work ...
I'd end up keeping a number of revolvers, and probably the same general selection as I've previously owned, and still own.
I'd have various size platforms chambered in .38 Spl, .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum. Small frame, medium frame and heavy frame. 5 & 6-shot models. Different barrel lengths, too.
In the last several years my common choice for off-duty carry has frequently been one or another S&W J-frame revolver.
I have a Ruger SP-101 for those times when I feel inclined to do a lot of shooting with .357 Magnum ammunition with a short-barreled 5-shot revolver, too. The M&P340 is more punishing than I commonly prefer for a small .357 Magnum wheelgun.
I think a .357 Magnum revolver in 2 1/2", 3" or 4" barrel length makes for a very versatile defensive handgun. A nicely maintained S&W K/L frame or a Ruger Security/Service-Six or GP series would do for normal chores.
Some folks aren't well enough trained and frequently practiced to do well with .357 Magnum ammunition, though, so suitable .38 Spl standard pressure or +P might be better choices for them.
I like .44 Magnum for general field usage in the back woods.
Of course, I still like my Ruger single action revolvers, as well. I even used to sometimes carry either a .44 or .45 Colt Blackhawk back before they were disqualified for off-duty usage.
This a trick question?
