How I Fell down the Rabbit Hole- by jrmiddleton425
I was 31 years old before I noticed something. One day I said to myself, "Self, you don't have ANYTHING that shoots 9mm. You need to fix that."
I came close to buying a Beretta and calling it good, but the grips were just a little too fat to be comfortable.
I have two Glocks already. I wasn't feeling the need for a third. SiG pistols cost a little more than I wanted to spend. Browning Hi-Power? New ones were made of unobtainium, even before they were discontinued.
As I remember it, I was digging around and found an old article on the CZ-75 written by Stephen A Camp. After doing some more reading, I decided to give them a try, and bought one from Bud's Gun Shop, sight unseen, in October of 2014.
"Hmm," says I. "This is a good gun."
During the pandemic, I spent some stimulus money on a CZ Custom SP-01. A couple of months ago I spent some MORE money on a 75D PCR, which I needed like I need a hole in my head, but given the way things are going, I bought it while I still could.
Does the rabbit hole get deeper, or can I eventually buy enough of these Czech wonder-nines that I can stand on them and climb out of the hole?
