My H&K Walther and Canik ,I'm still getting used to MY new Mrd . I've been told to turn down the intensity ,so as to fine tune POA ,which is difficult IMO ,with a Dot covering said point of aim . Have Never run an electronic sight on any of My weapons . Iron or scopes Yes .
The Griffon is .45 and I immediately crap canned that aim point ,talk about a Bulk load . That was decades ago .
How embarrassing I can't find photos of My H&K or PPQ M2 :D I'll have to take some .

I love shooting my 39-2

But, the best 9mm in the safe is Turkish…

That thing has an amazing trigger and is a laser beam!

Special mention to the Steyr and Masada in the safe. And the 5906, who’s weight makes the 9mm even more controllable. My RIA .22TCM/9mm combo is also pleasant to shoot in 9mm, but the TCM is such a lil rocket, that barrel hardly ever comes out.

My PPQ Q5 Match Steel Frame Pro is without a doubt my favorite 9mm of all time.

That looks just like Mine ,as I have both PPQ's M2 ,steel match and polymer frame . How about those Triggers ,huh are they the Best ever :D I love mine . Admittedly My Canik has far to much travel for my liking and I need to see about rectifying that problem .other than it's trigger I've NO complaints .
Current fav is a Sig P226 Legion I bought from a fellow member on this board.

Those are a superb pistol and shoot WELL .

First - I’ve had a somewhat moderate exposure to 9x19 handguns.

Upon more reflection, my CZ PCR might still be no. 1.

I had forgotten about the Beretta PX4 Compact.
Even the DA trigger was nice, and it would be easier to conceal than the Beretta 92 @@@ whatever, which a friend owns.

For a striker-fired gun, possibly the Walther PPQ or CZ P10C.

My Springfield PI9134, like all my 9s though, after the Springfield maybe my P226 Dark Elite
#1 Springfield is on about 70K rounds (maybe time for a barrel soon:))
Recoil springs, firing pin springs (normal wear and tear) but otherwise no issues at 70K.
I liked the first one so much I bought a spare before it goes off CAs stupid "Approved Handgun" list.

And for just pure fun or otherwise enjoyment I like shooting my old Beretta 92FS with an original SGS compensator...

How I Fell down the Rabbit Hole- by jrmiddleton425

I was 31 years old before I noticed something. One day I said to myself, "Self, you don't have ANYTHING that shoots 9mm. You need to fix that."
I came close to buying a Beretta and calling it good, but the grips were just a little too fat to be comfortable.

I have two Glocks already. I wasn't feeling the need for a third. SiG pistols cost a little more than I wanted to spend. Browning Hi-Power? New ones were made of unobtainium, even before they were discontinued.

As I remember it, I was digging around and found an old article on the CZ-75 written by Stephen A Camp. After doing some more reading, I decided to give them a try, and bought one from Bud's Gun Shop, sight unseen, in October of 2014.

"Hmm," says I. "This is a good gun."

During the pandemic, I spent some stimulus money on a CZ Custom SP-01. A couple of months ago I spent some MORE money on a 75D PCR, which I needed like I need a hole in my head, but given the way things are going, I bought it while I still could.

Does the rabbit hole get deeper, or can I eventually buy enough of these Czech wonder-nines that I can stand on them and climb out of the hole?

I really like my Beretta 92. Very reliable. Now days it is used just for recreational plinking and night stand use. For all around use my S&W 3913 is just right for me. Oldies, but goodies.

This is a correction / amplification :

Any 9mm handgun with what are considered good ergos and a smoothish trigger.

But practice for carry? Any compact in DA/SA if the DA's stacking (increase in tension) is fairly gradual, And smooth.

I would have Loved  an HK P30 or USP (Especially the 9mm Compact), but didn't understand whether just a "regular guy" could change the trigger components to reduce the DA's 'stacking'.
Too late now because the main interest is rifles.

Pretty partial to CZ’s these days. A toss up between the CZ75 and the shadow. And the P07 just hits where I aim so it goes out quite a bit too. Really like sig’s tac ops too but I’m more accurate with the CZ’s.
Would like to find a good 1911 9mm, and it would probably become my favorite because I like the platform so much. Another shooter to buy!!
