Similar to the "What's your Excalibur" thread...but different angle. I want to know what your "Holy Grail" handgun is. By this, I mean the handgun that you WILL have someday. (no fantasy guns like Star Trek phasers or Star Wars blasters) This isn't just *A* handgun that you want, but it's thehandgun you don't have, but dearly want...maybe you dream about it, maybe you lust over it, but it's the one that no matter what else you might get first, you ARE going to get this one. And, be sure to post make, model, and caliber! (any other details as well, ie: pre-ban/LE only/hi-cap mags, tritrium sights, etc) Pictures are always fun to drool over too! :D

Mine? Walther P99 in 9mm with hi-cap mags. Black.

Sig P210

And not one of the stupid newly re-released ones either. I want an original military issue P210 with proofs. NIB.

Fortunately it should only cost me about $5k.

Browning HP or the new FN High Power. The BHP was the first gun I ever owned but sold it. Deeply regret it now. I think some people here understand what that means.

Can't get one any time soon unfortunately. But I'm keeping my eyes open and the saving up has begun......

Not sure if this qualifies but I really want a H&K MP9 someday. If you mean a "real" handgun, I have always wanted a Colt Woodsman Target model.

My "baby" would be a SIG 232....not exactly an exotic gun, or even an expensive gun.....Just one that I have wanted for a while, will buy someday, and just havent found a good excuse to yet.

The only thing keeping me from it is the caliber....I despise 380...If they came out with one in 9mm Id be all over it.

SIG 239 is a close runner up....nice compact package, and available in 9mm. Im gonna have to get one of those.

SRYndian, is this what you're talking about: SIG Neuhausen P210-1 9mm Mint

Here's some of the item's description:
SIG Neuhausen P210-1 9mm pistol. This is the rare version with polished blue finish and wood grips. Condition is mint, unfired. 1955 manufacture, no importer's markings.

And of course, none of this would be appropriate without pictures:

I've got to admit, it's a beauty.

And as for my reply to the thread ... right now it's a Compact/Officer's Model 1911. There's others I want, too, but that's my "must have."

I just acquired my most recent short term goal: a Glock 34

For a long term Goal, I want a Glock 18. Not too sure how I'm gonna get that one, but I am working on it.

Just for grins, I want a Desert Eagle .50 cal. It's not really good for anything, but it's gotta be fun as heck to shoot.

Easy.

:)

Freedom Arms model 97 in 357 sixgun, 4" octagonal barrel although I'll settle for round. Tritium sights front and rear (adjustable), with second cylinder in 38spl and custom grips (round-on-the-bottom and "gunfighterish" profile).

Ohhhh ya.

There are 2 there really have my interest right now.

Glock G29 and the new S&W 500-----have most of the smaller stuff covered----needing something bigger now.

That's easy from me......

I've always wanted a full-sized service 9mm. Now, which one?

Sig?
Browining?
Glock?
Beretta?
CZ?

It gives me a headache trying to choose. At present, CZ has the nod (because of that nifty little Kadet .22 kit)

Several for me.

A Smith and Wesson Triple Lock in 44 Special comes high on the list.

Jimmy Clark 38 Special wadcutter 1911 pistol. Really nice pistol.

Anything by Armand Swenson.

Then.....

Original Colt SAA, in shootable condition.

Colt Woodsman Match Target.

S&W pre 27 with 3.5 barrel.

Colt 1911 (pre A1) in nickle.

These are the ones I really lust after. And I would also like

Ruger 44 Blackhawk, the small version.

S&W Chief's Special round butt.

Ruger Service Six, and S&W M19 like I used to carry in the Border Patrol.

Okay, I got carried away.... it happens.....

A full-house custom 1911 from either Hilton Yam or Chuck Rogers.

Something like this but with a scalloped frontstrap:

Well I am lucky enough, very lucky and blessed enough to own a few of my Holy Grails. I have the HK P7M8, The SIG220ST and PC627.

Right now I would probably say
P7M7 never gonna happen.
Original military 1911 Not too picky as long as it is all original. One from 1911 would be nice.
Ed Brown Cobra Carry Stainless
P7M10
Walther P5 Compact Almost feasible.
SIG 210 Original Military

I guess those are my current pie in the sky guns.

arinvolvo: I feel the same way...except for the caliber. :p I would love a P232, as they are very nice guns with excellent fit and finish, and they fit my hand well. My only gripe is the cost of the ammo. But your criteria for it is almost perfect....it's not a "only if i won the lottery" gun, it's not extra special or expensive, or practically unobtanium...but you still want it. Just not badly enough. ;)

For me it's the DE .50 cal. Yeah, I know it's not real practical. (I already have the practical needs taken care of) But I will have it, a few others may come before it but, by golly I'll get one.

For giggles my Holly Grail rifle would be anything from Ronnie Barrett's product line :D
