I'm trying to decide on a pocket 9, and I keep landing back on the SCCY CPX-1.
Not because I want to, but because it's the only pocket 9 (stretching the term "pocket 9" a bit) which has all the features I'm looking for: 9mm Luger, micro sized, true DAO with second strike, American mag release, lock open on empty.
Kahr and Kel-Tec both claim to be DAO, but buried in deep the internet discussion buzz is the fact that both of them are actually presets, and therefore have no second strike.
I don't know what Rohrbaugh's action does, but it has a Euro style mag release and doesn't lock open.
So first question, am I missing something or is the CPX-1 really the only micro 9 on the market which has these features?
Second question, why is it that the other companies aren't truthful about their pistols' action?
And just so you all know, yes, I'm aware that what I really want is a snubbie. I just want one which is 1.5" shorter overall, 0.5" thinner, and double the capacity. It's a shame that the only company making that can't get its act together, and that the other companies are so close but aren't being entirely truthful. I really don't want to go down to 380.
