I got unintentionally(at least I'm hoping it was unintentionally) molested going into a concert because the guy at the entrance thought I was carrying(I wasn't). When I asked him if he intended to take me out to dinner, he got a real uncomfortable look on his face, he was half my size and easily intimidated looking sort so I got a good laugh out of his reaction.
I eat at a diner where I and few patrons are regularly known to conceal carry. We all sit at the counter, I pocket carry and sometimes use a shoulder holster. The other guys mostly IWB carry but one guy carrys a holster on the outside of his hip that his shirt goes over. Of course that hasn't stopped him from flashing it a few times to few people. He's a nice old guy, a vietnam vet, and harmless, so most people just tend to laugh it off and he only flashes it to people he knows(we all are on a first name basis with the waitresses and owner).
If someone is showing, and I mean obviously showing I'll say something. Most people just assume for no reason that I'm a cop anyways(big chest and arms, and buzzed head), so the few times I've said anything they've thanked me. Last one was a young guy at Books-A-Million, he sat down and I could see the grip of the gun sticking out from shirt and I let him know. He at first gave me a funny look, and then I had to go "you're glock is sticking out there buddy." And he rushed to conceal it better. If someone is obviously showing then say something, but if you can't tell what type of gun it is then maybe not saying anything is better.
