Sorry to those who own one but, your a mall ninja if you have a M1A with a rail. Just my own humble thought.

You're a mall ninja if you post videos on youtube and use the word tactical more than twice in a gun related video.

On your belt, you proudly wear the CCW badge that you just bought off the internet.

You hang the badge on a chain from the rear view mirror when driving your used ex-police crown vic with the authentic yellow Walmart security light on the dash. Rattling around in the console is your Zforce V stun gun and Nunchaku twist-a-chucks.

LOL!......Uh Oh.........did i give myself away? :uhoh:

Didn't know what the term meant (I'm learning a LOT in this forum) but I believe there were three of these guys (out of a class of twelve) in my CCW class.

No way they were mall ninjas - if they had been you wouldn't have known it until it was too late. Plus, no true mall ninja would give himself away so easily, let alone 3 of 'em

OK, then I'm missing something. I'll have to read more carefully. These guys, however, were wannabees of some sort.

Found it. Yeah, three of them were there. Shooting has no monopoly on this type of behavior. There is, or used to be, an analog among paramedic wannabees, for example. What usually cures it is age, but not always.

Ok, so maybe this doesn't define a mall ninja since many respected people use the term, but what is with the word "run"? As in, "right now, I'm running a Acme IWB holster". What's wrong with the old fashioned words "wearing" or "using"?

"I'm wearing a Wilderness Instructor belt" is just fine... Why do people say "running" instead?
"Running" is a more generic informalism that probably drifted over into shooting from technical fields (e.g., I'm running a Dell with an Intel 2.8 GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, an nvidia GeForce 512MB video card, and Windows XP...) and can cover stuff you wear, carry, use, or whatever. It's pretty much synonymous with "equipped with", I suppose.

If you don't like the word "run" in this context, you can always go Gen-Y and use the phrase "I'm rocking ___" instead. :D

For those of you who are interested I think I know which mall Gecko45 hangs out at. ( or at least used to ).

Based on his post that have been saved he works in one of the biggest malls in America somewhere in NY state. Well, Roosevelt Field Mall on long Island fits the bill perfectly. It is the eighth largest Mall in the US and is located just outside Garden City east of NYC.

You're not missing anything. Wannabee is a great definition of a mall ninja.

... If these concealment holsters (!) look like a good idea. Just the thing for 'deep undercover' at the food court.

No, I didn't make them up as a joke. Find them here

It looks like it would take a lot of digging to get the gun out too. About half a forearm's worth.

^ any holster company that uses the word clip to refer to anything other than a fastening device (or real clip) I will not support

If you own a flashlight with a strike bezel

Hey! There was a strike bezel on it when I bought it! I took it off so I could use the diffuser filter to avoid blinding myself while using it for normal stuff.

If you've ever purchased an ACOG to stick on top of your Walther G22, you might be a mall ninja.

If you believe in ammo with names like "explodinator 9mm ultra-P face-smasher", you might be a mall ninja.

If even your underwear are all black, in case terrorists try to depants you during battle at the local mall.
