Battlefield 1942, well actually the Desert Combat mod for that game.


FUN FUN FUN. Chasing people around with an A10 Warthog or blowing people up in an AC130, or being a grunt with a mortar bombing people as they run towards you.

Great game.

Kill Switch for the Xbox is coming out this Fall. It is going to be Awesome!!

None of the shoot and run in this game.
Its more of duck & hide, blind firing stuff.:D

What's to argue about? So what if the enemy hears your Desert eagle, by the time they get to you, you'll have killed them with the superior power.:D
 
Can't stand CS, I'd rather we run a Allied Assault or Spearhead realism-modded server... I ran a 8 player AA server for awhile. I've since taken some of the Ram out of that computer I hosted with, so I'm not sure how it would perform now but I could try out a AA server again... Or maybe Infiltration for UT, more realistic than CS... (I'm not a server expert, I just dabbled in it)

While playing Unreal online. We still play, she on her computer against me on mine, on the home network. :D
 
i have halflife and enjoy playing it online.i have the counterstrike mod of halflife installed.dont play them much.really liked the day of defeat mod for halflife too.my modem is slow and i cant afford a cable connect so i got the phone modem,my huge ping gets me booted out most of the time cause it lags everyone else that has a faster modem.that with the updates they regularly get that contain megamegabites-takes me too long to download them so i basically stopped.when it was a simple game...i liked to hide on a roof and toss those spiders and i could hear them biting everone running around- in halflife. that arctic-warfare mag in counterstrike..1 shot from the other end of the game ;guaranteed 1 shot stop,lol,got booted from there cause id shoot them as they peeked around the corners.its just a game.
 
I really like Planet Side.

Its pay to play, massively multiplayer and it is kind of "sci-fi" but most of the guns are rifles, shot guns, machine guns and RPG type weapons.

The game gives a very good infantry+ light armor feel. There are lots of cool vehicles and transports and as you build your character, you get more points to buy certifications on different weapons, armor and vehicles.

The game is played usually with squads of up to 10, but you can have a dozen or more squads from 3 Empires fighting for one base!

The landscapes are HUGE and its just a really meaty game if you got the time.

I play on the Johari server in the New Conglomerate (Libertarian) faction as Pendragon - usually 10pm-2am PST.
 
Halo hands down. Every type of weapon you could want ans plenty of Fienswine stune doubles to take my frustrations out on. By the way did I mention tanks......
 
Let's see here...

1) Deus Ex for PC. Why? Because it plays like an RPG but from a first-person shooter view, and the storyline cannot be beat. Deserves to be played to conclusion by everone here, especially those who love the Legal & Political forum.

2) Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Why? Why not? :D

3) Doom I, II, and the fabled Doom III that's supposed to come out by the end of the year. :evil:

There is nothing more fun than throwing a sticky grenade at a alien and watching him run.:)
 
HALO PC is finally coming out in a couple months, been waiting for that forever since I'm too cheap to buy an Xbox and most of my friends frown on me playing HALO 24/7 on theirs, lol....
 
IL2: Forgotten Battles. Lots of fun to swoop down in a ME262 on a formation of Russian transport planes, sending wings and fuselages in opposite directions. Those cannons do quite the number.

Unreal2: The Awakening was pretty fun.

UT2K3 was pretty good, too.

Flashpoint is an all-time favorite.
 
Half-Life and the Rainbow Six series on PC.
THPS4 (Yeah, I know. There are no guns on this game. :rolleyes: ) and Medal of Honor for the PS2.

(I still reserve the right to add Star Wars Galaxies to my list at a future date..) ;)

But what if you need to be stealthy, or there are two of them? I've taken out a squad of five people with a USP in 10 second, including reload, while in a dark corner.:evil: :cool: :evil: :cool:
 
CarnEvil is by far the most fun shoot 'em dead game. The "full gore" version not the CA mamby pamby version.

I never thought shotguns could be soooo much fun!
 
I haven't played anything in months and months, but my all-time favorites are:

1. LMCTF for Quake II
2. Rainbow Six series (especially Rogue Spear)
3. Operation Flashpoint
4. America's Army

Operation Flashpoint... I knew I liked this game when I found myself trying to crawl uphill to the safety of the treeline, at night, wounded so bad I could not walk... and in the valley below I could see the headlights from the Soviet armor as they were searching for me. Great game.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City... I play this game 2 or 3 times a week after work. No multi-player, I have finished maybe 7 missions but I dont care, I am just there for the carnage and blood... just me and an assfull of weapons against the Cops and Feds. I love to hole up in the corner drug store in Little Haiti, stand in the middle of the street, take a slo-mo pill and riddle the Feds black Suburbans with rifle fire as they try to skid to a stop to engage me. When the bullets hit their vehicles you hear them dang Feds scream and they spill out into the pavement. Then crank-up the Flamethrower for the Army tanks that are coming next. Love that Flamethrower! Gotta go and play some more now...
