My favorite thing to do in Rogue Spear is a pistols only game. That gets people playing a lot different. Fun to play on Bunkers.

I was tossing out some old junk under the bed at my parents' place....found SEAL Team, probably the first 'tactical' sim shooter...wow.
I had that game, too. I might even still have it somewhere along with my Apple II+ games. Never really got to play it, since I wasn't around much then.

Fly Navy

Don't even get me started on Duke Nukem. :D
First time I played that was in Japan with a friend. We were both over
there for training, just having started with a Japanese company.
Played hours of it in the hotel, laptops linked with a serial cable.
Played drunk a lot, too. Don't recommend that!
In Hachioji they had a lot of LP gas bottles near buildings just like in DN.
Talk about weird. Coming out of the hotel, going to get something to eat
after playing for six hours straight. We saw the gas bottles, kept expecting
monsters and stuff to jump out at us.
Was introduced to Doom II about then as well. Another game I played
waaaay too much.
I still have the DN CD, been thinking about getting it out again.
Waiting for the new one to come out, if it ever does. Vaporware for about
five years now.

Ghost Recon for Xbox was okay single player, especially the tasks to unlock stuff, but playing it online is mad fun. One time I had to pee, so I made my guy lay down in a corner next to my favorite spot. When I came back a guy was laying right there. I switched to pistols and executed him. My xbox live name is Death if anyone else has it. Look me up for a game.

IT"S ALIVE!!!!!!

Ever notice how some threads just refuse to lay down?

FWIW, I've become addicted to the police trainer game at a local arcade, wish they had something like that for my game cube.

No FPSes - Like Okiecruffler, I prefer to get up close and personal with the enemy in Diablo II - or at a distance with a bow - I'm certifiable as a DII nut. Okiecruffler, email or PM me with your DII account names - I've got 5 full accounts on USEast. I also like real-time strategies like Age of Empires, etc., but they were leading to RMS so I swore them off.

What's the best FPS, limiting them to the games that feature ONLY actual, existing gun choices, and actual potential enemy choices (not aliens, etc.). i.e. best simulation of 20th/20st century warfare or specops?

"IT'S ALIVE!!!!!" - Lol

I haven't played Diablo 2 online. I tried to play diablo online when I first started playing it, but there were so many hackers with tricked out equipment it just wasn't any fun. I'm a bit of a pureist.

Unreal Tournament and UT2K3

Fast paced (real fast) and the taunts are priceless. I love to hit the keys bound to taunts like " squeal boy" and "anyone else want some". Raven shield is pretty good too. Still nothing like blazing through a game of capture the flag in Unreal tournament.

If you guys havent played "Call Of Duty" yet, GET IT. If you liked Medal of Honor; well, this goes above and beyond.

Made by the same guys who made MOH, different company though. It is awesome

Call of Duty doesn't come out for another month or so, but I'll get it immediately.

BF 1942 does have a single player mode. Same thing, but you play against the bots. Unfortunately, the bots are pretty predicable, so once you figure out what they'll do, every time, you can slaughter them. The same strategy doesn't work well online.

I just started the new MOH expansion, Breakthrough. It's okay, but it's not as good as Call of Duty.
