Remembered I have a photo of my buck 119, it's still new I can't bring my self to use it yet. The aluminum with the black always looked good to me.

A 119 is hard to beat for sure. I agree with your observation on the black&silver (like ALL good Heavy Metal:thumbup:) for contrast.

My first, store bought, serious woods knife was a 119/black. I still recall the almost magical allure of that, then, strange handle material and that carries on to this day. Kind of like when carbon-fibre started filtering into motorcycles.

I thought the cocobolo version would be a fitting homage to my school-days memories and yet, it ironically leaves me a bit cold as far as nostalgia goes.

Todd.

A limited run Spyderco Endura in white.

Botom
A no name slip joint with good fit and finish, good snap and sharp!

My wife got me one of those white FRN Endura 4s about a dozen years ago. Still locks up tight and stays sharp. The old VG10 was a fine super steel of its day to be sure.

My current pretty knife is a large Chris Reeve Inkosi that is starting to get some honest pocket wear. Love this knife.

My wife bought a Sabenza for me many years ago. You're right in calling those lines out as beautiful.

I don't own this exact knife, but have one similar. It was just easier to find this link than take a poor quality photos of the ones I have. I rarely actually carry them but the Case Sowbelly knives have always appealed to me. Some have 3 blades, some only 1. But I just like the lines and looks. The curved handle fits my hand well.

I think I like the ones with a single blade the best. They are a bit thinner

But as much as I like them they are typically only carried on those dress up occasions. I'm much more likely to have some sort of 1 handed opening lockback made by Benchmade or Spyderco most of the time.
