    I personally don't like co-witnessing either although most people rave about it. I agree that you don't need optics on the AR platform, unless of course you are profecient with the irons and want an optic or other type sight. I have the exact same set up as the the OP and have a EOTech 512...

    You should get the AR and or AK first and hold off on the SKS, I doubt that would ever be banned before the other two so that may play a factor into your decision. I own all 3, 2 AR's (RRA and STAG) an M70 AK and Yugo SKS. Like has been said they are all good rifles and perform different duties...

    I have seen C-Products sold on 44mag.com for $10 a piece, can't beat that. This was a special they had going on about 6 months ago I think.
