The THR 1851/1860 Club

Good morning,
I have my 'Orphan' Army ( Bruschetti ) manufacture 1860 with the Goon and expect to have one of the smoothest shooting belt pistols I have ever seen when it gets back. ;o)
regards all!

Crawdad1 is a bad influence!!!

Always glad to help out a friend Perldog!!!!!!! :)

What load are you using in your 1860 Army?

That was according to Colt's original instructions Pyrodex ffg with just enough room for the 154 gr ball. More fun than can be described. Had a little 'flippy barrel' going on but managed to figure out the pin that secures the arbor and tighten it back up with my pre-school mechanical skills. I think I'll get a Uberti soon. For no bi-focals and a loose arbor I'll take that group any day :D

Dedicated Fanner '51/'60 !!

I have a customer that wanted a true fanner. It is a setup this person has always wanted and I just finished it. It has interchangeable barrels ( 4 3/4" '51 Navy (.44 cal.) and an 8" '60 Army) and interchangeable cylinders! Any combination of the barrels / cylinders yields a barrel/cyl clearance of .0015" which allows its dry-fireable set up as well!!! Talk about a fun gun !!!!!

The picture is good and needed for entrance into the club, except for Mr. Sutton, however some confusion here before final conformation and entrance into the club. I can't tell from your picture if the watertable is stepped or the cylinder is rebated, so is your revolver a 1860 Army or a 1861 Navy?

Just got this Armi San Marco 1860 44 at auction
Don't have it yet. I think it might be stainless steel and will need a shine and the grips will get a workover.
Now I am in the 1851 and 1860 club all the way.

1858s and 1851s

Remingtons on the top, Colts on the bottom, all Pietta reproductions, but I like em.

I have done a little more work to my brassie, smoothed the pietta flair off the grips, silver soldered in a post site on the front - not sure if I like it with the site or not, may take it off, it is a belly gun after all...

webrx,

Here is a snubby I made in the last century(?). I went with a blade front sight.
