The coolest FICTIONAL guns ...

As a long time 10mm fan it was more than a little perturbing that the 10mm was utterly useless in the games. Almost as bad as the 22.

I remember it needing certain perks to stay relevant. It does so much longer in 4 than the other first-person ones.
That's part of an entire Halloween costume, by the way. 10mm, Stimpak, vault suit, and even Pip-Boy. If I had a workshop any more, I'd have built a functioning Fat Man.
I'm really not much into the whole costuming thing, but I am into making stuff, and had a stretch of time on call that demanded I keep my hands busy.

in Neal Stephenson's novel "Snow Crash" one of the principal characters hooks up temporarily with a made guy from a mafia run pizza organization (I know, I know. In the book, it makes sense). This fellow has acquired an experimental automatic weapon that is powered by a miniature nuclear reactor. It fires tiny depleted uranium pellets ala railgun style at VERY high velocity.

Marvin the Martian had a pretty good "one shot stop percentage" with his pistol too. Only daffy could be turned to dust and come back over and over

I had one of those "Johnny Seven" toy rifles as a kid. It was a lotta fun. We had some great toys back in the 1960s.

Interestingly .... or strangely .... Johnny Seven was the screen name of an actor way back then who had a "tough guy" sorta image and played thugs on tv series like NAKED CITY and IRONSIDE, and eventually wound up with a semi-regular role on IRONSIDE as Inspector/Lt. Carl Reese.

This had no connection to the toy gun ....just an odd coincidence.

The Dominators from the anime Psycho-Pass.

There's even a company that makes a working toy replica of it for $800... minus the microwave blasts of death, that is.
