I have a S&W Model-686, 4" barrel, with a Millet red dot, and BSquare mount and Millet rings. It shoots about 2" low at 15 yards with the adjustments completely raised. Can I shim the front of the sight up to raise the point of impact? If so,how thick should the shim be? Any advise would be...
I have an ol Ithaca Model-37 made in 1947. My cousin/shooting buddy/BFF has a newer Model-37 made,IIRC, in the late '80's. Mine has the slam fire feature, his doesn't. Does anybody know what year this was discontinued? Just curious. Thanks.
My -37 is smoother than his and is very tight. It...
Saw an ad in the Lexington Loser for a weekend special .Buds has S&W M&P 15 Sport rifles in 5.56 NATO, 30 rnd mag, 16" barrel, for $549.95. I'm a babe in the woods when it comes to AR-type rifles. Good deal? Good rifle? Yea or nay? Thanks.
I was looking at this sight last night and came accross this picture at 0:48 seconds. Anybody now what this is? All I could think of is it's a quided anti-tank missle. IIRC, Germany managed to deploy a missle for use against tans but it was too little too late. Any help is appreciated...
Interesting Idea but putting WiFi, GPS, gyroscopes, lasers, and blue tooth on a AR-type rifle is a bit much. YMMV.

I've found a deal on NIB CZ-557 Sporter in .30-06. I own several CZ rifles, pistols and a shotgun and like them all. I own CZ-550's in .308,.6.5X55 Swede, and .243.
Does anyone have any hands on experience with the -557? How does it feel? How does it shoot? Any info is welcome. Thanks.
I was digging around in my gun area this morning and found the box my S&W Model-17-4 came in. I got it used in Oct; 2003. It has a 6" barrel and it's blued. Serial # 89K91XX. The original paper work was missing.
There are white stickers/labels on each end of the box. One is too faded to read...
Bud's has Adam's ARs piston carbines for $599.99 nib, no mag. I have never owned an AR. Is this a quality rifle for a good price? Thanks.
P.S. These rifles are being sold with small finish blemishes. I looked at 3 and couldn't find anything. They have 100% factory warranty.
I have a S&W Model-686-2, 4" brl, B-SQUARE mount, and a 1" Millet Red Dot and Millet rings. At 25 yrds it shoots about 3" high with the dot set at its lowest position. How can this be corrected Thanks.
A widow I know is selling her late husbands reloading supplies prior to selling her house. She's asking what her late husband paid for several boxes of Valiant bullets. There are 9mm, .38, .10mm, .44spl, and .45ACP in various weights and types. They're marked between $14.98 to $19.98 for 500...
I was in the local SW today and they were restocking primers. They had about everything made by Win, Rem, and Fed, except SP primers. I scored the last brick of CCI LP primers for $27.99. Rem and Winchester were $37-39.00 a brick.
I have access to the lead on a trap range. In places it's 1"-3" deep on top the ground. Can this be cleaned, melted, and cast into pistol bullets? Thanks.
So far, these items have dissappeared from my LGSs:
1. Small pistol primers
2. All 30 cal 150gr bullets
3. IMR-4064 powder
4. AA-4064 powder
5. Re-15 powder
These are just the items I've noticed that have been gone for the last month or so. Every trip to my usual stores shows...
I read on another thread that limp wristing will not cause FT Extract and FT Feed. I have intentionally limp wristed my Kimber and it would not extract the fired case. Are limp wristed malfunctions fact or fiction?
On pistols with internal locks, are all keys from the same manufacturer interchangeable? I've never owned a gun with an internal lock and, at 59 years old, doubt I ever will.
I just bought a pound of CFE 223. I can't seem to find any info on what type of primer to use. It's a ball powder so I would think use mag primers. Load is for .22-250 Rem with 55gr Nosler Varmagedon bullets. Anyone have any experience with this powder? Thanks.
