    Changing bullets/keeping the same charge?

If you were to work up a load with 100 grain corlokt psp in a .25-06 would you feel comfortable changing to 100 grain nosler partitions with the same charge without working up?

How badly do synthetic stocks chip paint?

I'm looking at Mcmillian stocks and like the swirl pattern but I'm also looking at a few paint patterns. How well do the paint patterns hold up? Even a solid paint color? How much abuse or years do they need to see before its time to repaint them?

    Help with hunting rifle decision

I love guns too - buy new ones, and go back to the old ones... but I always buy more new ones... Is something wrong with me? I would replace the 7600 with the new model of the same line! I think it is the 760?

    .280 AI - Information Wanted

What do you guys think of this cartridge? What can I expect for barrel life? Recoil similar to a .30-06? Anything else? Should I go with the standard .280? If so why? I refuse to jump to the 7mm rem mag

Patterns for Geese - Can you post pictures of your patterns

Just shot 3" no.2 7/8oz load @1550 - On a newspaper 2'x2' or so I got 89 hits @30 yards. About 70%, nice spread, evenly distributed. Going to shoot a few more to get a better average. Estimated that there are about 125 pellets or so in this load - how many hits should I have in a 36"...

Patterns for Geese - Can you post pictures of your patterns

Well thing is I'm only going out for one weekend this year... Currently I only have a 20 gauge that is rated for steel. I only want one or two geese and then I'll be calling it quits for this year's season which is why I want to make due with the 20... I'll be getting a very nice 12 gauge in 8...

Patterns for Geese - Can you post pictures of your patterns

I did consider that as I know those give really tight patterns - Only problem I see is that a lot of guys use smaller shot like 6. Would hevi shot 6 work good? I'm thinking I need hevi shot in size 4's would be ideal which I tried but my patterns are literally so bad that I could miss a goose...

Which Bulk .22 Is The BEST

It's hard to answer what bulk is best when you don't list nearly all the types of bulk. I like first the Federal Champion bulk in the blue box of 525. I then like Winchester Dynapoints and the Winchester Box of 333. I'll then take the Winchester Xpert box of 550. I shoot with iron sights...

Does anyone reload using remington core lokt utra bonded bullets?

I keep hearing about the accubond/interbond - what about rem's ultrabonded? How is it for consistency/price compared to nosler and hornady? Does it hold together as well? I'm looking for a good bonded bullet for my .25-06.

22lr penetration test on aircraft aluminum

They did a test somewhere sometime... and found faster is better - I beleive it was between the .223 ad 308 - maybe the military versions... idk, anyways it was found that the .223 penetrates thicker metal... I've always believed that Rem Thunderbolts hit the hardest, I wonder what they would...

    Suggestion on .308 Winchester reloads?

my advice is use the accubond for elk - the sst is more comparable to the ballistic tip which would be great for mulies. As for powder use any of the many that have a good track record in the .308.

    hunting with 50 bmg

Why does everyone say no?!?!? Sure it might not be the best thing to use but it would be interesting for a time or two. The gun will be 30lbs or more... it will be long and awkward to carry around but it'll be great for sitting on a hill top A 50 BMG will NOT make a deer explode! Get some...

    Nosler ?

Sorry to call BS but you need to compare bullets of similiar construction/purpose. That would be the Nosler Ballistic Tip vs the Sierra Gameking and the price difference is 26 for 100 vs 16 for 50.

My Velocities are Varying by 600 fps!

I'm loading 52.0 grains of IMR 4350 in my .30-06 shooting 168's and my velocities are varying by 600 fps. All my rounds are loaded to the same overall length + or - a few thousands and my powder chargers are accurate to within 0.1 grain. I've chronied many rounds... about 15 or so. Most came...

How many grains do you skip while working up a load in a .30-06?

The title says it all... If I'm working up a load how many grains would you skip per load? If you find two that are pretty good would you then work up and down .1's from them to find the best? How do you do it? I'm shooting a .30-06 and so far my best load is right at 52.0 grains if IMR...
