Current trend in Highway Patrol/State Patrol calibers? Interesting the high percentage that use 40 S&W and 357 Sig.
9mm... New Jersey Highway Patrol, Arizona Highway Patrol .
357 Sig.... Texas Highway Patrol, Montana Highway Patrol, North Dakota Highway patrol, Virginia Highway Patrol...
A number of years ago bought a Ruger SP101. The DA trigger pull was really bad. It almost felt like it was binding up near the end of travel. It was so bad I didn't shoot it much and it more or less ended up in the back of the safe for years.
Recently I ordered a Wolff 12 LB hammer spring...
Local gun shop has a Ruger Security Six, 6" barrel, blue in about 95% condition wants $399. Seems high to me or have they gone up in the last few years. Like the lighter weight compared to a GP 100, 6".
Picked up some Russia made 45 Auto steel case TulAmmo today to try out. $16.99 for a box of 50 locally. Anyone tried this stuff?
It appears to have a copper washed steel jacketed bullet. Because a magnet sticks to the 230 Grain FMJ bullet.
Like reading this stuff, Thought it might be interesting to some other people. Big thanks to ToddG AKA Todd Green.

Why do I normally shoot sub compact Glocks equal to or better than many compact & full size pistols? Example... I typically shoot smaller groups @ 25 yards with my G27 and G33 than I do with my G19 & G17. Whats up with that?
Who here uses Glock Sub Compacts for their conceal carry gun...

VANCOUVER, Wash. - A Vancouver man was cited Friday for wearing his pistol in a grocery store even though it’s legal to carry a gun in Washington and Oregon.
The incident is part of a growing controversy over what’s called the “Open Carry” law...
Was looking around the local fun store today. He had a new Ruger GP100 6" barrel blue in stock. Thinking about it. Are the newer Ruger GP100 still as good as the older ones were quality wise? Any MIM parts or dumb locks I should know about?
Was reading about one of the latest Kaboom of a striker fired semi auto pistol. It was not a Glock this time. The comment "Strikers actually drive the gun out of battery, where as hammers drive guns into battery". Got me to thinking about this. Could it be a true statement?
FYI...I see Hornady is now offering a 9.3x62 in a 286 grain. This now makes the 2nd American ammo manufacture to offer a factory 9.3x62 load in recent years. The 1st was Nosler. :) http://www.hornady.com/store/9.3X62-286-gr-SP-RP/
Picked up a new CZ 75 P-07 DA/SA 9mm last week for $449. Just had time to run 50 rounds thru it Sunday. So far I'm impressed to say the least not only does it shoot very well for its size it has one of the best feeling grips on a polymer pistol I've shot to date. Grip is 1.150 wide when checked...
Was looking at FNP-9 today kind of liked the the feel and the features. Haven't really payed much attention to them in the past. Gun shop said they can get them in a FNP-40, FNP-357 Sig and FNP-45 Thinking about ordering a FNP-357 or FNP-45.
My question is are they decent pistols? And do all...
