Just so happens my wife gave me the Ruger SR1911 pistol as a birthday present on December 2nd. The first bullet out of this gun hit the bull's-eye at 25 yards which got my attention. I went on to shoot a nice 3.5" to 4" group right out of the gate...This was with a factory Blazer 230 gr...
All I know is I use that same BTB over 20gr H110 & CCI350 it shoots an excellant group out of my Black-Hawk Hunter and what I liked most it shot really well out to a 100 yards in the my Marlin...
I also use the BTB 250 WFNGC over 12 grains of Unique and it is very accurate load both guns too...
We're about to see some turn-coat politicians siding with the extreme left on the 2A. The Liberal Press keeps driving it home to the point it is sickening to watch. This president & press machine are trying to turn the NRA into an enemy of the public. Does anybody else see this happening? Like...
If your not crazy about Unique try 8.2gr of Universal or 9gr Win-231. Both are good shooting & accurate in my 44's. Good general carry loads. These are safe published loads on
Hodgdons website.
I happen to have the 6.5" S7W 500, I load them there 400gr Crushers from Missouri Bullet Co. I can tell you that the 6.5" X-Frame gun is a practical size hunting size revolver as far as hndgun hunting revolvers go. You can load from easy to nuclear with this cartridge. With 17 grains of Unique...
I'm glad I read this thread, think I'll follow that advice I read somewhere on THR awhile back which was "buy 2 Rugers instead and have money leftover"...And carry a cylinder full with no worries...
I buy all powder & primers from Georgia Arms in Villa Rica Ga. Cant never remember the exit but for you its I-20 West bound all the way to Hwy 61 exit in Villa Rica. Take a right off the exit stay strait until you get to a railroad crossing Ga Arms is on the next right on the right. You cant...
Glad to hear a politician say something absolutley right & true...God Bless Texas is right...From Governor Perrys lips to Gods ears is all I can say!
And to the gentleman that wrote post #6; it would be Obama that is blithering Idiot! Along with the entire administration and his media...
I had one in 45...traded it off to my brother for a Stonebrigde Guitar...I definately got the better end of the deal but I sure miss that gun...which is why I'm buying a new one next week!
I have the 9.5 SRH & The BFR 475/480... Its a good hunting gun especially for deer. Accurate as hell and shoots just like my 44's to me.. Killed deer with both guns using 325SPEER and the 420 BTBWFN...Ruger is selling them again in the SRH stainless! there posted on there website again...
I think they broke the mold when they made the 35 Marlin lever gun...Of all the nice semi's & bolt guns I have, I always grab the ole 35 Marlin. It carrys good, handles well and shoots great...I actually named that old gun "Marlin Perkins". If you see me in the woods you will probably see that...
Same here...I use it in my Vaqueros and Uberti's too. I think Trailboss is a consistant accurate shooting powder. Been my experience it burns fairly clean for a long shooting session. I like the accuracy so much I use it with 250 gr. RNFP for a carry round for the woods sometimes.
