I've read these were and maybe still used to practice quick draw with live ammo. If you shot yourself in the foot with one of these it would probably hurt but much better than any real bullet.
I ordered and received the 3 MOA. If I had it to do over again I would have ordered the 6 MOA.
Overall very happy. Faxon slide and fit to the dot were very good. Haven't shot it yet, hopefully not expecting any problems. Slide to frame action feels good and hand cycles ammo fine but we will see.
Thanks again for the replies. I gave the 6 MOA serious consideration but in the end I ordered the 3 MOA. I handled a friends pistol with a 3 MOA dot on it today before placing the order.
Again Thanks!
Thanks for the replies. Good Stuff!!
Gonna look at a pistol with a 3 MOA dot on it today. Pictures STYX posted were a help. For this pistol and use I am probably gonna order the 6 MOA today but haven't decided for sure.
M&P gen1 9mm. Already got a Flaxon slide and fixing to order the red dot when I came across this difference. Probably go with the 3 is my first thought but 6 MOA on a reflex sounds interesting.
I also have a CZ527 Varmint with walnut stock, very good looking rifle. Box magazine only holds 4 or 5, can't remember without checking but never been a problem for me. anyway, checks a lot of your boxes including price.
Does EWK still maintain a waiting list? I remember that's how I got my 4in. heavy shroud barrel. Took a few months but I knew that when I signed up. Several years ago and I don't remember the actual order and payment details so must have also went well.
I bought a used 15-2 with 8 inch barrel a few years ago. Bought a barrel wrench and 4 inch heavy shroud barrel from EWK. Top quality stuff. I also wonder if they are as committed to Dan Wesson revolvers as they used to be.
Thanks for the reply. I looked at EGW and their SKU: 49308 looks like it may be what I am looking for. When you posted that it was "not something I'd use for serious use." is it not solid and keep zero.
I bought this used and was wondering what series of M&P it is. I am thinking it is one of the early releases if that matters.
I am wanting to put a Red Dot on it and was looking at Burris FastFire III and their adapter mount. Midway Products 668439 & 622328
. Any experience with this combo? I'm...
Thanks for the info and replies. Nest trip to LGS I am going to see what they have.
Has anyone tried them in tube magazine carbines? Did they feed reliably.
I've loaded and shot several thousand hard cast 38 cal semi wad cutters all 125 & 158 grain. When I carry a 38 snub nose I have it loaded with 158 grain SWC and a speed strip with 5 more. In another thread where this was discussed several said they liked full wad cutters for self defense from a...
Shipwreck, Is the carrying case a quality case or something you think will need to be upgraded. With it's width when folded a carrying case designed for it is not a small thing. A you tube video I saw was positive but I would be interested in your opinion.
Thanks!
I bought a Ruger PC9 a few months ago and been claiming it as the second funnest gun on the planet behind only my 10/22 but the S&W FPC has my attention. Being able to share mags with my M&P 9 is a big plus. Mag storage in the stock has my interest. Folds with what looks like a quality carrying...
I bought one new a few months ago and like it a lot. I did have a couple stovepipes on the first couple magazines but we put at least 250 rounds thru it that day and no more stovepipes or failures. I did a through breakdown and cleaning and didn't notice anything that stood out. I've put prob...
