    22 CAL. semi-auto handgun recommendation

My S&W 22A never misses a beat. Easy to clean and shoots great. But I'm sure all the above mentioned guns are just as good. I wouldn't turn down a ruger, that's for sure.

Any Fans of the old .38Spl?

Put me down for .38spl. It's my favorite round.

    .380 ball or hollow point

JHP in the tube, and FMJ in the mag. That is all.

Debate: 158g LSWCHP +P vs. "LE" 147g +P+ hydrashok for mod 64 carry...

I don't know about getting sued, but I keep 125gn Gold Dots in my 4in 64. Any good off the shelf name brand defensive ammo will work just fine. I also like the UMC 125gn+p Jhp. It's a good inexpensive round as well, allthough I don't have a problem with using standard pressure 158gn SWC's in a...

What is your experience with the P3AT?

That is a must do on this gun.

best non +p .38 spl for older gentleman's snub

Given your criteria, I voted for the 125gn hornady XTP. It probably won't expand, but it will go blunt. Other rounds worth mentioning, aside from the hopefully soon to be re-introduced Nyclad, is the standard pressure 158 gn SWC and also 158gn cowboy loads like the one below:

What is your experience with the P3AT?

Mine has been good. In fact, it shoots better than I thought it would. It's not a range gun, but it satisfies it's purpose and that's what's important.

    Which 380 ammo for carry.

I have my reservations shooting JHP thru a small .380 like the P3AT. Plus mine feeds FMJ more smoothly then the many of the JHP brands I've tried. I compromise: One JHP in the tube, and the rest FMJ. As far as brand goes, whatever works in your gun. :)

Any experience with the TAURUS Millenium Pro?

Over 1000 rounds on my PT111 with zero issues. Never hic-cupped once.

    Heavier 9mm semiautos

I can vouch for the P89. It's my heavy artillery

Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Info needed please.

I've purchased many a gun at Aries gun shop in Margate on 441. About 10 minutes north of Arizona gun range. They have a decent selection of used guns, and if you now your prices you can negotiate. I usually deal with Barbara. Very nice people and they know their stuff. Enjoy the Gunshine...

N frame rubber grips - Hogue or Pachymar?

I have two K frames, Gripper on one, Hogue on the other. Both are good but the gripper absorbs more recoil.

    what do you ccw?

Standard Florida Carry: Keltec P3AT in my pocket and a Taurus Pt111 on my hip when clothing allows. :)

Why would anyone choose a revolver over semi auto?

When I hold a revolver, it becomes part of me, like an extension of my arm. When I shoot an autoloader, I have more of the sense I'm operating a machine. I have both, and each has their place. Recently I was torn between purchasing a Beretta 92, an elegant pistol I've always admired, and a...

    Davidsons "Allocated"?

Keltecs are hard to find in my neck of the woods as well. They fly off the shelfs, especially in warmer climates.

Who carrys a p3at as their primary gun?

Pretty much my primary carry. For what it is it's not a bad gun. It'll spoil ya.

    22a and .22 shelf life....

My experience with the 22A is that it likes the high velocity ammo like CCI mini mags or the Fiocchi. The low velocity target loads seem to be more so for bolt actions and don't cycle the slide as well. Just shot mine today. You'll love it. Get yourself a boresnake for it and you're good to go.

    Taurus 38 special..model 85B

I use that UMC 125gn+P load myself. It's a good round for SD and doesn't break the bank. Congrats on the new piece!
