Maryland laws on short barrel rifles

I wanted to get information on Maryland laws on buying short-barrel rifles. I was hoping someone with experience in Maryland could advise me on the process. Thank you

Must I Setup a Gun Trust For NFA Items, or Does My General Estate Trust Suffice?

This is probably a really dumb question, but I thought it was worth asking. Also, if I have a personally purchased pistol carbine, can I still SBR with ATF via a trust established after personally purchasing the pistol carbine without stock, or brace? Thanks…

    Topic Dead

Thread has devolved into nothing but trolling and childish behavior. Feel free to select another thread. A lot of people think 300BLK is the way to go if you want to build a general-purpose SBR thats kinda good at everything and yet a master of nothing. But they are completely wrong. The real...

short stroking a piston operated short barrel .300blk

I could use some help. I have a 10.5" barrel .300blk, and I am short stroking whether I run supers or subs, suppressed or un-suppressed. This is a build. It has never cycled. I have less than 30 rounds through it. My suppressor is an OSS Helix 762 QD - so there is no back pressure from the can...

    SBR engraving

When do you have to get your SBR engraved? Is it before you get the tax stamp, but after certification? Or do you wait until after the stamp gets approved? On a related note, what exactly must be engraved? The name of the trust, the city and state? What if you move?

    VFG question

I just certified my sbr form 1. I had the process started before the brace rule dropped, oh well. My question is, once I get my stamp, I can put a vertical foregrip on my SBR right? According to my math, the OAL with the stock completely out will be 29". There's no restrictions on foregrips...

    Keltec P50

I got the keltec P50 after watching the prices since they came out it and it would appear the price has leveled off after about a year and a half. I took it to the range with 3 full boxes of ss197 and a partial box of old ss195 from back in the day. I loaded up what ss195 I had and started...

    Foregrip on a pistol question

Hi, I was contemplating the nauseating minutia of ATF pistol regulations. Specifically I was wondering about the foregrip laws which say that a "pistol" may not have a vertical foregrip. I have two questions here: 1) Does this mean only 90 degree grips, or is it more vague and the guys...

    PDW/AR/AK "Pistol" Question

I had a discussion recently with a gun buddy. We were discussing the practicality of PDWs or AR/AK “pistols” with “arm braces”. The only such firearm I’ve ever fired was a Palmetto State Armory AK-V(?) in 9mm with a Red Dot Sight. The guy who had it on the range next to me and let me shoot it...

    Reloading .223 with pistol-powder for a short-barreled 5.56?

Hello guys & gals. So... disclaimer - I know juuuuuuust about nothing about reloading so far =D; so don't be too critical lol. But I see a big drawback to short-barreled .223/5.56 AR pistols being the noise & fireball that comes out of the barrel. Could you remedy this by reloading .223 with...

New SBR CZ BREN 2 / Beretta ARX / Arsenal 106

Getting that itch again and looking for my next SBR project. I have nailed it down to these three options... 1. CZ Bren 2/806, middle of the road in regards to price, shoots 5.56, folding stock, sexy and I know will work. 2. Beretta ARX 100, cheapest in regards to price, comes as an SBR, quick...

50 Beowulf SBR upper or 12" slug gun?

I am about to move out of Washington and get to the free state of Montana, and this frees up the option of SBS which aren't legal in Washington. The debate i keep having with myself is weather or not to just build a 12" rifled slug gun, or a 50 Beowulf 12" upper for the sbr lower... Both would...

    NEA ultra compact stocks

I really like the looks of the NEA ultra compact stocks. Anyone use one of these? Seems like a great stock for a SBR.

Please talk me into, or out of, a 9" 300 Blackout...

A couple weeks ago, I decided to start planning for my next AR build, which I decided would be an 18" DMR type rifle. While researching that build, I stumbled across some info on 300 Blackout, and started daydreaming about having an SBR. Long story short, I started thinking a 9" 300 Blackout...

45 Colt SBR Suppressed Load Data

I have a Rossi Puma 45 Colt chopped off to 11" and suppressed with an Osprey and I'm having a hard time figuring out load data for 300 gr Hornady XTP ( I can't use lead because of the Osprey ) in the 1000 to 1050 fps range. The available data that I've found is either too slow or high pressure...

    Help me understand 922r compliance

I have a CZ Scorpion Evo3. Yesterday I filled out the Form 1 and mailed both it & a check to the ATF in hope before summer is over I'll have my first SBR. My friend did a similar thing last year but he had a Bushmaster AR rifle lower, waited 4 months, got a stamp and put a 10" Cmmg upper on...

    SBR Glock legal ramifications

I really like the Roni glock kits: store.commandarms.com/ronig2-10/ The problem is, it would require registering my Glock 19 as an short barrelled rifle. My Glock 19 is my daily carry gun. The Roni kit would just be a range toy. If I had to use my Glock in self defense, how much trouble...

19-year-old looking to own an AR-15 SBR?

I live in a state that permits NFA-regulated firearms. I understand that, because I am under 21, it is unlawful to purchase an SBR through an FFL licensee, or basically a dealer. In order to purchase any firearm or firearm parts online, they almost always must go through a dealer. I...
