Its almost eleven o:clock. As the every day norm I have a S&W .45 (dao) and a Gerber knife. Model 19 is 15 feet away...wifey claims that.

The safe isn't hard to get to.

Looks like I get to start a new caliber catigory with my .32 H&R Magnum.

Knife is an inexpensive Gerber folder.

I'm a police officer and currently on duty. So I have 9mm (primary), 38 Spl(backup),12 Gauge (shotgun) and a Benchmade folding knife.

You're the one that wanted to collect the data.
Ha! What was I thinking? :D

My last post was tongue in cheek. I still see this as a fun exercise.

Maybe we should discuss how to categorize the data.

My initial thought is something like this. .32 is .32, unless it's got a 'mag' after it. But if the different ... species (?) of .32 are significantly different, they'll get a separate column.

I'm open to suggestion. Take a look at my first attempt, posted upstream, and let me know what to add or condense.

Dunno.

If you went with rows for calibers you'd still have a lot of columns for make/model.

If you stay with rows for make/model you may end up with fewer columns for caliber.

M&P 340 stuffed with .357 mag because I accidentally shot up all my .38 short barrel stuff at the range last week, and speed strip in other pocket.

Zero Tolerance 0566CF right rear pocket, and little Benchmade Valet folder in left front.

That's a worthwhile idea. I don't really want to list makes and models per se -- this is more of a caliber exercise (that distinguishes regular from mag), but using rows would make more room for all the calibers.

The only downside is having to redesign the table. That'll be time consuming -- but oh well. Lemme think on this ....

.
I just edited my Post #33 to include make and model. I originally only listed calibers.

Interested in seeing the updated spreadsheet.

In the locker is plenty, in the nightstands a few more and my Benchmade is in the bathroom in a basket with my belt, wallet, and change.

But on me at this moment? On the end table on the left is Dad's 3 blade Uncle Henry and a 2nd glass of bourbon. On the right is a snoring brindle Boxer that is the biggest sissy dog I've ever had and a damn couch hog.

Mine varies, depending on what Im up to.
On my person pretty much all the time when not at home...
A cheap Gerber 4" folder, and my aesthetically challenged BHP. A mini 14 and a machete arent usually too far away.

Updated redesigned table through post 63

The new Hso format allows easier comparison of numbers.

Feel free to check my numbers & let me know if I missed something
(from post 22 to 63 were recorded while eating a burger with beer ).

Thanks, Ironic. I searched it and concluded 9, but wasn't sure. I'm not as knowledgeable about gun models as most of you. :) I'll include yours in the next update.

Oh jeez, dont include me in that respected group of wise men (and women).
I dont know diddly. BHP is a shorthand I only picked up hanging out on this site. Everything I know is just plagiarized/pilfered from people who are smarter than me.

At present I am sitting her with a Cold Steel X2 Voyager clipped to pocket I like big folder for carry 6" blade just right. I have a CS Kudu in pocket for general cutting . A CS urban pal push dagger fixed in my boot and a Walthers PPK/s 380 IWB . If I was going out I would swap the Walthers for a LTW Colt Commander .

Settling into bed, I work afternoons + ot. Jiminez J.A. Nine 9mm on the night stand, Winchester 1892 hung over the headboard in .38 Wcf. There I go, making things difficult.
As for blades, a cheap jobsmart flick open folding utility blade holder, a cheap pair of side cutters, a cheap machined aluminum flashlight, trauma shears and a general tool spring action center punch in a nylon pouch with a belt clip. (Mentioned all since , to me, its one unit being all in one holder. All cheap beings that it ain't hard to loose stuff being a volunteer firefighter)

I'm at home now. I'll confuse the issue a bit. On the desk I have a .357 magnum revolver. It's loaded with 38 Special ammo. :D

I've got mostly 38/357's here. With an odd 9mm and a couple of 22's. A couple of 12 gauge shotguns. And a .36 cal muzzleloader. Oh...and one 44...Special. That's about it.

If "here" was someplace else, I'd have a 38 Special with me. And several knives. A Swiss Army knife, a cheap auto-opener, I don't even know what brand, and a 3" Bucklite folder in a belt sheath.
