I have a 1-12 twist 6BR barrel that’s threaded for savage and once i get some free time its going on a savage axis action.

I’ve not fully bit the bullet due to time, almost non existent brass and no time lol. I’ve got a nice Athlon that’s going on it.

I've used Lapua, and it is pretty popular along with Peterson.

Finally was able to pick up the Savage. Nice gun, but it is heavy. Recoil with the BR should be about the same as a gnat hitting your forehead at .2 mph. The Farrell made rail and rings are very well built. No scope yet.

Now, I just needs some brass and dies.

I have some 6 br brass, although shot in my chamber it should be sizable.

I had a 26” 6BR 1-10 twist stainless barrel fall into my lap.
A local shooter I know bought the barreled action because he wanted the Ultimatum action.
He sold me the barrel for $350 Canadian or about $285usd.
The weirdest thing is that there is no manufacturer stamping on the barrel.
It’s the one with no brake on it.

I had a spare lightly used Savage 10BA that I picked up for cheap during the lockdown that was sitting around collecting dust so I installed the barrel on it.

Being a 10 twist I tried 87gr and 75gr V-max, and 70gr BlitzKings.

The BlitzKings don’t seem to like this barrel but the V-max do.
These are the groups I fired last weekend with the 75gr V-max. I will try again at a longer range and I’ll shoot them all without any scope adjustments to look for poi shift.
