Dear AW/THR/GB/AK47/AR15/Glocktalk/SigForum,etc members;
Seems 'someone' has posted a question or two on each and every forum I could quickly glance over the last day or two, always dealing with the topic of fully automatic firearms or other class III issues, and bordering on illegal in-and-of themselves.
Usually, they have few post counts but claim to be long-time lurkers with alot of experience- but not always. Not that it would be any trouble to get the forums to cooperate and create a fictional login with lots of posts.
Questions themselves are the usual:
-How do you make a (choose: full auto/ silencer/ atomic bomb, etc)?
- Lets post pictures of ourselves holding unregistered FA's? in a schoolyard? or on the steps of the capitol building?
- Is a hundred billion pounds of blackpowder I have been saving to make grenades in my garage next to my flint and steel collection a bad thing?
- Is it legal for a gumball dispenser to be converted to full auto?
etc. etc.
(OK, I made that last one up)
Usually, you guys smell a troll pretty quickly. I recall one fellows response of "Why shore! Its right here under my BATF badge." But just in case you miss one, I'd just like to say that I am counting on you all to take the bait here.

Please make my holiday season bright and boost my arrest numbers just in time for the AWB renewal, and the upcoming elections. Lots of incumbent politicians are counting on you. I warn you: do not dissappoint these powerful senators!

Please just make it easy and striaghtfoward and do or admit to something foolish on these forums! Even if you are just joking it will be enough for me.

It will not only allow us to take you dangerous people off the streets, but we can then prevent communication between other conspirators by subsequestly SHUTTING DOWN THE FORUMS for good!

I never understood the logic behind someone saying, "You can't post plans to make a machinegun/suppressor/assault bubble gum machine on the internet!"

Granted, this is a privately run forum so Oleg or whoever has the final say as to what may be posted, but how is posting instructions on manufacturing illegal items 'wrong?'

It is the reader, the end-user, who is responsible for his actions after reading the instructions. After all, numerous books already exist that descibe the above items.

I'll stop now, before I get into trouble.

I believe it could be construed as a 'conspiracy' to violate the NFA.

This would make Oleg (he's facilitating the 'conspiracy' by allowing the communications to take place), the original poster who asked the question, and anyone dumb enough to tell someone how to convert a semiauto to a machine gun guilty of conspiring to violate the NFA and/or GCA 68.

My answer to people who ask questions such as this is 'Yes it could be done, but it's not worth a felony conviction and 10 years of my life to do it, so go away.'

I believe it could be construed as a 'conspiracy' to violate the NFA.

Not a conspiracy or any other crime to post instructions on how to make full-auto conversions, suppressors or any other NFA weapon. The documentation is legal and readily available.

It's only a conspiracy if two or more people exchange the information with the acknowledged intent of manufacturing an illegal firearm.

Since none of the members of THR ever advocate violating the law and try to inform those who post messages which indicate they may be unknowingly about to do something prohibited, we are safe.

Basement Conversion

You will need a drill press and a Garden Hose. Remove projectiles from unit (Duh) You will need to drill a hole in the base of the fixed magazine. Then atach the Hose to the opening. Reload the fixed magazine. If the end of the hose is lowered below the level of the projectiles, then the gumballs will exit the hose.

I've always viewed owning an "Anarchist's Cookbook" or anything by Uncle Fester as the sort of thing that wouldn't get you in trouble by themselves, but that would be used against you if the fed.gov ever had any other reason to notice you. It may or may not be illegal depending on the attitude of the DA who decides whether or not to charge you.

saw a post on the fal files last week advocating AW registration and taxation, obviously written by someone with more knowledge about the issue that a million moms. i cried "troll", but the guy was slick and talked everyone else into logical arguments except for one other guy, who also said, "troll".

these forums are free to join, and there are lots of odd birds on them, some of whom i pay salaries for. i have been stalked by lettermen, personally, and made them on occasion, outing them in subtle ways to guys i trust. i have nothing to hide, but do play mouse for them just for the fun of it, sometimes.
