@Possum: Are you liking the angled foregrip on that configuration? I'm thinking about getting one for future middy AR(s), but I'm curious to how it might be for carbines... otherwise, aesthetically that looks great. Nice job!

Can't speak for possum but I really like the one I installed on my M17 (see post no. 59)...and you can't get much shorter than that. I believe it is a much better alternative to a VFG (which I dislike, but briefly used on said M17 due to heat).

That's good enough for me, I'll get one on order.
I tried a couple of the MAGPUL AFGs on the AR15 that I use in matches and a Vz.58 but I couldn't stand them ... they put my wrist in an uncomfortable and unnatural position. I ended up switching to LaRue's FUG ... so much better for me. I rest my thumb on top of the rail.

I have a 5.56mm Rock River Arms LAR-15 Entry Tactical Carbine with 16" barrel, VLTOR E-MOD stock, Magpul ASAP sling adaptor, ambi selector lever, Magpul BAD lever, Magpul MBUS (in FDE), Magpul MIAD pistol grip (in FDE), Magpul enhanced trigger guard, Magpul AFG (in FDE), Magpul MS2 adjustable sling (in FDE), Magpul RSA, GG&G modular quad rail system, Failzero BCG, Millett DMS-1 1-4x24 scope with illuminated reticle mounted in LaRue SPR/M4 LT-135 1.93" QD mount, and an Insight M-6 laser illuminator weapon light (seen here with my Rainier Arms forged upper receiver with a 10.5" Noveske CQB barrel, 9" Troy TRX Extreme Battle Rail, and black oxide Battle Comp 1.0 that I'm using for my SBR build):
I also swap out the 1-4x scope with an EOTech 557.AR223 Holosight depending on the intended usage.
I've got a Surefire MB556K muzzle brake/adapter that's going on probably sometime in the Fall after competition season slows down. Also considering replacing my current ambi selector with a BAD-ASS selector in the near future and getting a Redi-Mag (Gen 2) / Redi-Mod as well.
