Guns & Gadgets reports that Bloomberg just announced he's going to try to flip Minnesota, in addition to Arizona and Texas, by throwing some of his million$ into key races and sending many activists from Everytown and Moms Demand Action.

How can we counteract this?

By getting the word out far and wide. Most especially in those states.

Reality check: the complaint in liberal circles is that Bloomberg is not spending his money to help them, as he had promised. Maybe he's waiting until later in the cycle.

BTW, the Democrats in marginal races (where control of the Senate will be determined) are trying to downplay the gun issue. Pushing hard for it would be counterproductive for them.

Achilles heel? Something we could/should pursue? These are questions to ask at "town hall" meetings (if those occur).

I believe that would be counterproductive. You don't want to pin Democratic candidates down on guns, because then they would be forced to take an antigun stance. Leave it alone, and then, if elected, they'll tend to vote their constituencies. I don't see a Democratic senator from, say, Montana or North Carolina voting to confiscate guns. (Polls show both Steve Bullock and Cal Cunningham leading in their respective races.)

We all know Bloomberg threatened/promised to use his money to influence politics, but Activism isn't about generalities. What do we do about it has to lead to HOW. That HOW is what's needed.
