Anything .44 Mag has been catching my eye lately too. Only have a couple so far though.
WOW!I'd have a couple dozen collector grade Colt topless cartridge guns. Then I'd have a bunch more replicas done like my Open Top. The latter will probably happen anyway but I can't see spending ten grand or more on an old Colt.

I’m in love with that nickel/chrome M1....At one point I was trying to collect a bunch of .32acp art-deco era Colt, Walther, Savage, Dreyse.....unfortunately most were irredeemable jam-o-matics and I got disgusted and sold off the lot of 'em.
I had 3 M1903 Springers at one point, but sold the two low numbered guns after reading the Hatcher Report.
Still have my small collection of Carbines-

Ive got a small but nice collection of S& W revolvers too, but no good family pick yet.
If you had the means to make a collection of your favorite gun make, and model, what would you choose to collect.
.
Whatcha got and why?
Its chrome, probably a parade rifle at some point, though fully functional- Winchester, too.I’m in love with that nickel/chrome M1....
If I were blessed with extra resources I would collect.380 acp handguns, with the focus on nickel guns.
And I would shoot everyone
You have good taste.Maybe ... 3rd gen S&W pistols.
For me it started after shooting a friends 5906. There is a LGS that seems to get gen 3's quite often.Me too and me too. The third Gen's kind of found me...I had a cousin who worked as an Arson Investigator, and they were issued 6904's. I was offered the chance to shoot it, and fell in love. Currently have a 5904, 6904, 5903, and a fitted 669 slide and barrel to go with it, a 4013 TSW, a 5946, and value line 908 and 457. Just missed a deal on a 4506, and I've been working on a guy with a 10mm, but he won't even let me see it....
That, and they aren't the $69 they were when I bought my first one. Actually, originally that's why I bought them; they and the ammo were cheap, and my then 10 year old son could shoot them; When I was younger I amassed a pretty good Mosin collection as well as some other things. But now I have children and a whole lot less disposable income, so I've become a lot more selective, and haven't bought anything in more than a year.
Browning P35 "HiPowers." I saw a collection back in the '80's that had 140 variations, some genuinely rare. Owner said "That ain't all of them." Joe
